The screen on the left has the same wallpaper but decided to show you what was usually on that screen instead of the same wallpapers. Both are 1280 by 1024 but tinypic did an awkward resize.

Why yes it is! I had ObjectDock a long time ago, but Rocket is much better.

That picture isn't huge... although the file size is getting there.

Warning: Is freaking huge (in size).

I'm trying out the Geubuntu LiveCD on my mom's computer to see if it would be better for her.
It's pretty speedy and the themes are nice. The DE is a limited GNOME with a few XFCE applications (Thunar, Orage) and Enlightenment E17. Rather slick, IMNSHO.

EDIT:The blur in the middle is the Geubuntu logo. It fades out then back in every minute or so; I guess I caught it right in the middle.

1152*864 FTW!
I'd post my desktop, but you can all recreate it yourselves in a few simple steps:

1) Set your resolution to 1152*864
2) Set your background colour to something around about #008000
3) Cover almost the whole space with two-line batch files (for doom levels that you like), and a link to cmd.exe. Add a few other shortcuts to your free spaces.
4) ???
5) Profit!

Hehe, it's just Windows XP. I'm using a hacked uxtheme.dll file, the Luna Element 5 visual style with my own custom start menu, lclock for my systray clock, RK launcher for a dock and Samurize for the OSD (the number in the rings is my CPU temperature, the inner ring is VM usage and the outer ring is elapsed track time, the text being artist-TITLE-album). The two icons in the systray are foobar2000 (the little black/white thing) and Windows Live Messenger (it's a heart when locked). I can't remember where I got the dock icons from but they're just for Adobe CS3 (Design Premium + After Effects Pro).

All this adds up to 8.93MB of RAM usage over a no frills XP setup, so it's not a pain to keep running all the time :D

EDIT: Time to review my post I guess, niko7865 hit the nail on the head :D. The wallpaper can be found here in beautiful 2889x1950. Also, it looked somewhat different two days ago..

Ahh it really is beautiful isn't it? It used to be my favourite song by Björk until I heard Undo and Aurora, now they're all sorta scrunched up at 1st place. Vespertine is just a consistently awesome album

Ooh, ooh! I want to play!

Click the thumbnail for the huge-sized version.

Image

I'm running WindowBlinds and Launchy. The wallpaper is from Digital Blasphemy.

Here's the other cool thing I'm running: the awesome and venerable AutoHotkey. I've got it doing a couple of neat tricks. First, when I hit Windows Key + PrtSc, it A) takes a screenshot, B) makes a copy of that screenshot and resizes it down to 500px wide, and C) dumps both of them into my Inbox folder on my desktop.

But the really neat trick is the console command line. If I hit Windows Key + Tilde, the command prompt comes up as if it were a Quake-style console. When I hit Esc, it hides until I hit Windows Key + Tilde again.
