Sounds like he needs to not wear such tight pants.
SlyReaper wrote:Rant: new shoes. They hurt. A lot. I find new shoes always hurt; it always seems to take a few weeks for them to "soften up". Why do shoe manufacturers not make them soft to begin with? Gah. A day walking around in them, and some of the skin has rubbed off my Achilles' tendons. Ow.

They're black except a single orange horiztonal stripe across the midsection. They have kind of long antenna in the front (but not spectacularly long). My attempts to google for this have failed, anyone know what it might be?
They don't really bother me too much as they don't really do anything, except that their numbers seem to be on a massive rise; I've had roach traps out for awhile now, and I've been killing about 5 per night with my hands this past week (I'm assuming there's tons more I don't see). My apartment is already very clean, unfortunately my neighbors are super messy which is probably causing them to breed, and it's infeasible to seal off as these bugs are so small.
Any ideas or tips on how to get rid of them would be very much appreciated.
I just spent like a half hour Googling them and failed too. =/

You can take a picture and and go to the "request and ID" section. If you search through the images already posted, you could try "yellow stripe" and "red stripe" in addition to "orange stripe" since those colors might look similar on a bug.

Burgerman wrote:Gah, I can't stand being sick, especially colds. My parents always taught me that I have to go to work/school unless I'm extremely ill, ie 100 degree plus temperature, vomiting every 10 min, etc. Now that I'm in college and can make choices for myself, I can't take a sick day without feeling extremely guilty or like I'm a wimp. I know I should stay home so I don't get others sick, but it doesn't make me feel any better. Do you non-American forum members feel like you always have to go to work/school unless you're extremely ill, or do you call in sick?

If I was well enough to spend the day sitting on the couch watching TV, then I was well enough to work, in her view. I still mostly follow that - I don't think I've ever taken a day off sick.
This is pretty much my thoughts, although it gets fuzzy at places with shitty benefits. Like places with no sick days, or places that use the same pool of days for time off and sick days.Chen wrote:If I'm feeling sick I will stay home from work. Quite frankly people who come into work coughing and sneezing piss me off. If you're sick do everyone a favor and stay home so we don't all catch it.

I am lazy.
But then, they wouldn't give me sick days if they didn't expect me to need them. Do those of you that never use them let them expire (mine pool for up to about 2.5 years worth max or something I think)?
