I don't think I like this thread. It's depressing seeing something that looks like XKCD but sucky.
Make it stop, plz?

Hmm. While it often takes a significant amount of effort to take something unfunny and make it funny, it's much easier to take something funny and make it unfunnny.

I actually think the first one with Diet Coke/Mentos is hilarious. I can't even remember the original punchline, but this is the ideal punchline for that strip, if you see it as a commentary of all the "hype" surrounding this phenomenon...but I guess that's kinda obvious.

...You guys are gonna hate me. This is a Cyanide and Happiness "Depressing Comic Week" entry right here.

The real funny part is that I say "You sicken me" (in reference to Futurama) at least once a day. I have no idea why. Habit.

Here's my 10 minute half-hashed attempt.
Disclaimer: This was not a flame bait, just what was in my mind on reading that comic initially, then drawing in the recent Math v. Maths debate thread, Mr. Black Hat Man and the Star Wars parody comic for the hell of it. I fully respect your spelling conventions.
EDIT: A revised version, in keeping with the "Ruin rather than Revamp" theme.
