Does anyone know why the forum makes the file so fuzzy?

Perhaps poor scaling? Looks slightly sharper after clicking it.

The one that's shown on the page is slightly smaller than the one that you actually attached, the one on the page is practically the "thumbnail" version. The forum software possibly has some absolute limit, and every picture larger than it gets resized. The image gets blurry when most pixels in the original image end up contributing to four pixels in the scaled image.

Edit: Oops, looks like Deva beat me in speed and avoiding condescending explanation.

Thanks. I changed the image size to what the forum was reducing it to, and that helped a bit, but it's still blurrier than the original. Ah well, whatever, it's not about the graphics.

Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty and terrifying.

I'm not sure, though, whether the comparison would be made stronger or weaker by using the same zoom level for each one.

St Helens and Rainier from roughly the same altitude as that last one.

You can even see with which embossing set the bands were numbered. The set Hank uses has a little scratch in each digit because he slides them in the box, while Peter's bands are have more rounded indentations, due to wear because it's the oldest set.

If it's the same one CSI has, then yes, and it can even navigate through reflections to take you on a tour of the Washington Monument.
