I think it's something about the way boomerang is in tiny writing, but I'm laughing really hard now, and I can't seem to stop.

Wow, you suck at boomerang.
Wow, girls suck at boomerang.

Why is this making me laugh so hard? Perhaps it's because I read boomerang with such a detached, quiet voice. I'm at work and people are asking what's so funny?
A hater he came and sat by a ditch,
And he took an old cracked lute;
And he sang a song which was more of a screech
'Gainst a woman that was a brute.

I see it as something like this...
"Wow, you suck at..
*looks both ways, cautiously*
...boomerang"

As if, perhaps, this particular strip was set in some kind of dystopian future where all forms of fun are heavily regulated, and some of the lesser australian sports are simply forbidden.

This is exactly it, yes. As if Boomerang has become a taboo, and must be whispered in hushed, conspiratorial tones. It is possibly the funniest thing I've ever read. Today.

Golly Gosh Darn Gee Wiz........
The key to image comparison:

1. open gimp
2. load first image
3. drag-and-drop second image into first
4. open layer dialog (Dialogs|Layers)
5. set layer mode of the upper layer to "difference", "subtract", or "grain extract".
