No. Your revision made it worse. We don't need an example conversation as our minds will come up with a better (read: more personal and therefore better to the reader and no one else) version of what the conversation could have been.

It's a common mistake made by horror movies. Want it to be scary? Don't show the monster. Want a joke to be funny? Don't explain the details. Broad strokes.

Honestly, if you're talking BBQ and 'a guy in a parking lot' isn't part of the conversation, something's wrong."

I made a few versions of 1048.

In the spirit of making things slightly worse, here's one with way too many straight lines:
Image

Here's one that was barely researched at all and probably does not have the correct proportions:

Image

And here's one based on a song by The Arrogant Worms:

I made a blog post about these with a teensy bit more context and some title texts, but I don't know if it's okay to plug that so I'll do it in small letters.

Man, sports in NZ sound way more interesting than the ones over here.
In light of the impermanence and absurdity of existence, I surmise that nothing is better for us than to rejoice and to do good in our lives, and that everyone should eat and drink and enjoy the good of his/her labor. Such enjoyment is a gift from God.

This thread is moving too slowly. I demand more but refuse to contribute.

Actually I'm thinking of something with the latest comic. It's simple and succinct, I'm sure I can do something with it.
