More people need to realise that. I commend you, sir (I assume)

I've been giving blood/plasma/platelets, depending on what they need for 6,5 years now. I guess I'm a bit more scared as I like to admit (seeing as how my blood pressure is always ~140/80), but that one time the nurse at the blood bank gave me a card from parents whose baby I'd helped save from leukaemia really helps you realize why you're doing it.
And the fear of needles is really irrational, when they do it right you don't even feel the needle in there. I've donated about 40 units of several bodily fluids now and it's only once gone (slightly) wrong.

I edit my posts a lot and sometimes the words wrong order words appear in sentences get messed up.

oh dear, someone uses the word "lubricant, and people assume the worst.

for example, my keyboard tends to stick, well not anymore.

also my medical brace was squeaking. BAM lubricated.

although this stuff seems to not have the best thermal properties in the world, tends to stick in cold environments.

Heh, mine was more of a "I can handle a needle, when it's being donated to a person who NEEDS the blood to survive" alongside "someone who is somewhat close to someone I am very close to is having regular blood transfusions and chemotherapy".
It made sense.

See, I'm needle phobic and I did several things to get over it and unfortunately none of them worked for giving blood.

I have a huge tattoo on my back. I have had my tongue pierced. My nipples have been pierced 3 times.

But blood? No way. I can't even donate blood because I'm that hard of a stick. :(

There's two kinds of sex toys.

The kind you buy because Tee Hee, It's a Penis and give to someone as a joke and they're supposed to go Tee Hee It's a Penis and... throw it away, I guess. Might as well have just set fire to $20 in front of them while saying "I found a more productive way to use that money I was going to use on a gag gift".

Those are for external use only. Because if they have moving parts, shoving it in somewhere will best case - break it or worst case - give them a shock as an unshielded wire grounds itself on their flesh. Or get them sick because the plastic is of a cheap kind that wasn't meant for insertion in a human orifice and as such, gives off some kinda toxic plastic chemical crap.

Then there's the sex toys meant to make someone orgasm. Those don't say shit about external or internal use because the assumption is you're going to stick it where it feels good and who are they to judge? They make fucking vibrators! They can't say shit!
