The Periodic Table Sing-a-long

Postby Swordfish » Tue Jul 15, 2008 7:56 pm UTC

George Hrab over at geologic podcast has a collection of short songs, the longest might be a minute long, written to each element on the Periodic Table.

Occasional Songs for the Periodic Table

Clear your schedule for this one, the whole thing is over an hour long.

When I was in grade 8 we had something like this to memorize the periodic table. -_-

Now to find a way to split each of them into a separate file and add them to my playlist, so I can have randomly dispersed snippets of the periodic table in my music. :)

I'm quite pleased with the one for my favorite element, Astatine. Sure, it's kind of... stupid, but it's definitely unique.

ooo. ^___^

Can any one point me in the direction of THE element song? The one with all the elements in it. In popular culture it was featured in an episode of NCIS season 5. But I had to delete the entire season to make room in my hard drive - so I can't just check it.

There are >100 of them. It would take a while. :)

Although I haven't explored all the features of Audacity. Is there a way to do it automatically?

I can probably split them for you. I'll have a quick look at the waveform as soon as it's done downloading and get back to you.
