I have lots of faith in humanity. Just not the subset of it that is Yahoo Answers.

I have discovered a gold mine of idiocy:

-Asks about spirits in the physics section
-Cockamamie Theory involving dark matter
-Invokes the Christopher Columbus defense
This signature is Y2K compliant.

There's an incredibly large number of teenage girls wondering if they can become pregnant by various methods:
Guy sleeping in the bed before you
Getting fingered (from the guy's point of view this time!)
A used vibrator
Sex without a condom after sex with one
Through underwear (two)

Well thanks to this thread i'm now addicted to answering yahoo questions. So far no really stupid ones. But there are quite a few really vague ones.

how to i stop pop up?

That was my point - I was talking less about Summer Glau and more about having long, well reasoned posts coming from a seemingly very unlikely source.

I'm giving some legitimate answers (like examples of music from post-classical ballets or which graphics card to get) to boost my points faster.. I'm also looking for questions about to expire that don't have any responses yet, so mine is the only option aside from "no best answer" (e.g. multiple choice questions that I randomly answered). Nothing funny today unless I suddenly get picked three times for best answer and get another 20 attempts.

Feel free to troll back the trolls and harmless questions but please refrain from giving people with stupid but important questions bad advice. They'll probably believe you if you tell them that a bleach douche will prevent pregnancy, and as much as I'd like to just smite them for their idiocy, it's better to just educate them.

I'm being careful to avoid legitimate questions and anything where a stupid answer could be harmful. Amusingly, for one multiple choice math question I actually picked the correct answer (B), while I was originally just trying to oppose the other answer to the question, which I thought was right. I just didn't read it well enough the first time through.

Okay, after reading this thread a bit I went over to Yahoo! answers and find this question.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20080803202519AAcZYCQ

I'm the MikeD in this, while answering I was hesitant in case I was missing some obvious fact that made this question sensible. I don't think I have, but I love how exasperated she sounds. I'm consoling myself that maybe someone is just joking around.

The problem is, so many of the questions on Y!A are legitimate and are answered well, its the completely stupid ones that ruin it. You have to search to find them, but when you do you just question humanity.
