Postby Verysillyman » Thu Mar 01, 2007 5:10 am UTC

SO. I frequently see things in stuff I'm watching that would be really cool, but actually have no place in my life. Specifically right now I'm thinking about the neon pyramid thing that Gary Numan stands in for the video of "Cars". I can't imagine any real justification for having one, and I've nowhere to put it or any money to buy one with, but I would like to have one.

What do you want?

Well, I saw Johnny Depp on the tv the other night. Does that count? :D

Hehe. OK for serious, now. Uhh...

I'm drawing a blank. Am not thinking of anything.

I want some of those foods they cook on the Food Network. More specifically, I want the exact recipes so I can recreate them to my satisfaction. <3 cooking. :)

I want a "Stand back, I'm going to try science!" shirt, but as far as I know, that is not on TV. :P

Something I want from TV is... ummm... you know those trees, in Futurama? "TREES DOWN!"? I want some of those. For my own amusement.

I want an iPod... maybe a mobile phone, but one that has phone call and message capability only. None of this phone with internet or mp3s or games or shit, just a basic phone.... a better computer would be nice... also a better bass guitar and a better keyboard, cause the one i have sucks and I can't move my piano around if my band ever does any gigs.

Although the main thing is the iPod, and thats half to listen to music and half to transfer data from uni and stuff. And I could have bought that months ago if I wanted to, and still can, as with many of those things, and I still haven't, so I dont want them particularly desperately.

And there are a number of cool T-shirts I want...

Oh and I also want an Enterprise. Any one will do, but the newer, the better, cause like, they rock.

Oh btw guys... If I were to get say, an iPod, and wanted to put music on it... but have, say, "misplaced" the discs and downloaded my backups off a torrent... would I have any difficulty getting that music onto the iPod? Just wondering cause I had an idea that they had some sort of security to stop that or something.

I watch a lot of sci-fi. I'll take two of everything.

Especially the various stun weapons. I would kill for a way to make annoying people go to sleep.

Purdue University invents Tricorder!

Dude...that's awesome...

This raises a question. As we develop more and more technology that resembles its Sci-Fi equivelent, would it be totally gauche to start building housings for the technologies that resemble their film equivelents?

For example, if that chemical analysis device could be made smaller, putting it in a housing that actually *looks* like a star trek tricorder?

I think that would be pretty damn cool.
