One of those computers/PDA's/cellphones from 24. You know, the ones that always have service (except when plotful), can recreate images from static, and can just basically do anything?

Yea. I want one of those.

Would it be too cliche to say that I want my life to be as picturesque as the people on TV's?

That would be lovely, thanks.

Unrelated, but I decided I want a pet freshman. I would put him or her on a leash and have them carry my books and whatnot and follow me to class every day. How useful! Everybody should have their own pet freshman. :D

Also, they could take notes for me. And I could sleep. Ahh, life would be nice if 'twere the case. :)

Or you could just dress them up as you, and send them to class in your place, then study their notes at your leisure.

Yes, good luck to me, finding another Asian female at my school, that is not in my grade. Out of the five or so Asians at my school, four are female, and three of them (including me) are in my grade. The other one is the year below. :(

College freshmen are so cute. They always have this wide-eyed look of "I'm so innocent and new the world of college life! Please, corrupt me!"

I took great pleasure in teasing and corrupting the freshmen. Ahh, college...good times...

Dude...that's awesome...

This raises a question. As we develop more and more technology that resembles its Sci-Fi equivelent, would it be totally gauche to start building housings for the technologies that resemble their film equivelents?

For example, if that chemical analysis device could be made smaller, putting it in a housing that actually *looks* like a star trek tricorder?

I think that would be pretty damn cool.

Well the guy who invented the cell phone got the idea from watching Star Trek, seeing them communicate wirelessly and going, "ya..ya we need that". So I think the real question is where does this natural progression lead us, what will be the next Star Trek tech to be invented IRL? Here's hoping for replicators... I mean cooking my own food sucks.

Geordi's Eye Wear: check (kinda, I mean it allowed him to "see" many more parts of the electomagnetic spectrum than simple human eyes)
Communicators: check
Tricorder: check (though I do wish they'd build a housing for it similar to the TNG tv model)

Oh come come, I never did anything that bad. Just small things, like body shots and the like. But don't worry, I'm past those days now. And I'm not around college freshmen anyway.

It was more the phrasing of "oh how adorable [rats/college freshmen/children] are, so innocent before [the experiments/I maimed them/ I robbed them of their innocence like you take candy from a baby, innocent candy] :D
I am confused though, what age is college over there?
It's 17-19? or 20-22ish?

Okay, yeah replicators would be awesome. As would the chest type communicators, although perhaps it would work better as a piece of jewellery... or a watch. They had wrist communicators at one point too.

Geordi upgraded to implants rather than eyewear soon. And a cool tricorder would be good too. Especially if it had a MP3 player :P

And androids like Data are cool. Aswell as emergency medical holograms. And the phasers, and the photon/quantum torpedos and star ships too, whatever.

I want that FoodSaver thing. I would never use it, but every time I watch the infomercials (which is quite often), I feel like I need it something awful and that I have to buy one right then. Luckily, I never have money. Because if I did, I'd already own it. And have no where to keep it and nothing to use it for. Also, the Magic Bullet blender thing that makes everything you could possibly ever need (food-wise) in about ten seconds. Also, mixed drinks. Fruity, cold, delicious alcoholic beverages in no time.

Lol... The Magic Bullet does look handy...

...but what I REALLY want was that one car I saw on Future Cars--the Eliica?

That this is a work of art. u_u I want. That, or the Senza, with the waterfall down the middle??

*sigh* I'll pass on most of the technogadgets if I could jsut have those cars.

((Most, mind you: will say that a gundam or an eva would ROCK. Doubt it'd fit in my garage, though. And the mileage probably sucks.))
