Vote McCain

Postby Aradae » Wed Oct 15, 2008 4:08 am UTC

Barack Obama may be a better candidate in almost every way to McCain however there is one crucial positive that the McCain/Palin Ticket has.

McCain and Palin both promise four years of fresh and exciting material for the Daily Show and the Colbert Report to cover. This, and I'm sure you'll agree with me, holds a higher priority than the War in Iraq, the economic crisis, and even global warming.

So, please, do us all a favor and vote for McCain this November.

While spectacular new material for the Daily Show is a tempting thought, I'm not particularly fond of the prospect of needing to move to Canada to keep from stabbing things.

Obama will, I'm sure, do plenty of laughable and exasperating things. That's just how government is constructed.

And the Daily Show can always make fun of the racists. There will be no shortage of thems.

Surely putting Palin anywhere near the Oval Office will render irony and satire as completely obsolete.

It would be the political expression of Poe's Law. Nothing you could do would look too outrageous when compared to the reality.
You know, I'm not really sure what "socioeconomic class" I am. I'm richer than my parents, I don't have a real job, and my mannerisms tend to match up with whomever I'm talking to.

I could tell it was shooped by the pixels, and from having seen quite a few shoops in my day.

Tina Fey has already said that she's stopping as soon as the next president is elected, even if McCain wins. It's reasonable. I mean, really. Who would want to do that for 4 or 8 years?

Psh, that defence was pretty shoddy then. Marx would have sorted it all out:

History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce.

This would be a repeat of a repeat, making it meta-farcical. I don't think Marx said anything about that, unfortunately.
