Long haired cute geek boys wanted!

Are you an attractive long haired geek boy? If so, post your photo here! Why? WHY NOT! So I can have a library of pretty, mostly... and so davean can sell you all to the highest bidder.

But how do we know if we're attractive without posting our photo? And how long are we talking? If mine is really short can I wear a wig?

That toddler Obrien. Gogogo.

Also, why don't you trawl through the post your face thread rather than using actual effort?

use your own judgment! And if you THINK you MIGHT be cute, POST! Sexy is in the eye of the predator!

I tried it, it's much too vast and utterly inefficient.

Obviously we need to create a specific subforum only for photos in which there is a long-haired-cute-geek-boys thread.

I don't have long hair. Darn it.

Why long? It's so inefficient and practical.

Getting haircuts is a waste of money and/or time when you can just tie it back behind your head.

I'd argue the rate of time expended looking after long hair which will eventually get even longer and longer > getting a haircut so you don't have to do anything with your hair ever.

Yeah really. Plus, unless you like your hair really short you only need to get a haircut every 2 months or so...just go to Great Clips and it will end up costing you about a quarter a day to keep your hair short and manageable.

Saladin - My hair isn't even that long (it covers the ears - about time for a hair cut) and I find it somewhat distracting/bothersome these days. But then again it might be simpler if I had enough hair to tie it back behind me and stop brushing hair from eyes every 15 minutes...

I cut mine short for the summer.
Then I changed my mind and let it grow out a bit. But THEN I went to this barber shop that was run by the blokey-est men I've ever seen in the profession, told the guy I only wanted a trim because it was getting messy at the ends, and he proceeded to snip off an inch and a half and thin it out.

So it'll be a few good months before I'm back to anything considered "long", hairwise.

By "look after" I mean any physical contact made with your hair in order to make it more comfortable (in any sense of being comfortable).

Ie. even if I don't wash/brush/etc. it I'd probably have to move it out of the way, or put it somewhere more comfortable every now and then. The time spent doing this is exponential as the hair gets longer and longer and longer, thus never cutting hair will always take up more time (and hence money) than cutting your hair.

------Grrr: I got ninjaed, anyway yeah I have not had a cut in AGES and my hair is only just getting over my ears. Time for a cut for me too.

News to me too.

Any time spent moving hair out of your field of vision is completely negated by pulling it back once it's long enough to do so. Maybe 5 seconds in the morning, and the hair is *magically* out of your face for an entire day!

I got my hair cut in November, so it'll probably be another year or so before my hair grows really long again. I'm planning to let it grow long and hope my parents don't notice or anything, and see what I look like in a year's time. Some friends told me that I'd probably look like a girl though. Oh well.

But, eventually it will grow longer and longer to the point where it starts causing other problems. This is avoided by keeping it at a certain, yet still long, length. The problem with that is it only avoids a few haircuts anyway (how ever many haircuts you missed to get it to the desired length).

No, it won't. Hair grows for X amount of time, stops, hangs out at that length, then falls out. For most people, this length is not long enough to cause problems. Citing this page, hair grows 1cm per 28 days, and will grow for 2-6 years. At 1cm every 28 days for 6 years, you're looking at 78 cm or two and a half feet long.

That's not long enough to cause problems.

... You people seem to be imagining that long hair is some unfeasible hypothetical situation, completely forgetting the 50% of the (Western) population who pull it off quite often and freely, and apparently without too much trouble.

I haven't cut my hair in about 18 months or more, and don't know when I will next. I'm studying for the next three years, and hence have no real pressure to, so...

Yeah, if I didn't not like having long hair then I wouldn't cut mine either. I don't really brush my hair ever or anything - no reason too.

This. Today I washed my hair in the shower, toweled it dry a little bit, carefully ran my fingers through it a few times, and wrapped it up in a bun and stuck a clip in it. Total time about 2 minutes. And my hair is long enough to sit on.

Now let's get more cute long haired boys in here!

Re: Long haired cute geek boys wanted!

I just got my skin to the first attractive state it's been in since before puberty...
But I had to cut my hair to get a job!
/sob

That sucks.

My mind is filling with images of people with 2ft long hair and all the potential accidents.

Catching on various different kinds of drills
Or a lathe! Ouch!
Car door.
Desk fan
Heating element.
Grabbed in a fight
Tangled in exposed roots on a riverbank (Risk of drowning!)
Stove burner

Or even just turning your head too quickly at a urinal. Eww.

This. http://xkcd.com/121/ But with hair.

Soooo... a master debater? yeahiwentthere

I think the most important part of this thread is some rigorous definition of "long". I consider my hair long when my bangs first enter into my vision when I look straight up.

Jack Saladin wrote:...

50% of the Western Population do not have 2 1/2 ft long hair.
And it's fun to imagine unfeasible, yet highly entertaining hypothetical situations, as Delass points out.
