SO MOTHEREFFIN HAPPY Thread :)

Postby Osha » Tue Feb 24, 2009 5:22 pm UTC

Because of this:
Armadillo Al wrote:Rant: Wait, do we not have a Happy Thread? Why the hell can't we have a Happy Thread? I want a Happy Thread right now, dammit!

This past week has been really really good and thus I am happy. My body image is doing great, I came out to a coworker who was supportive, I got my stylish coat and hair ties in the mail, my step-mom has started calling me Zoe, and I met a forumite in real life.
Right before all this I was sad and posted a couple of really sad posts but that's in the past and now I am happy!

If you're happy post and tell us why!
If you're not happy post and we'll try and cheer you up!

Zoe is a really pretty name.

I'm happy because it is time to go home! Bye!!

I am happy because we booked a location for our wedding, and it is amazing. It's a vacation rental home that is nice and can sleep about 10 (so we can house the wedding party), it has 25 acres of space, some nice spots to take pictures, a large green lawn that has an amazing view of Mt. Shasta in the front on which to have the ceremony, and a zipline and an in-ground trampoline. Sweet!

Yep! I spent hours and hours finding the perfect name. Then I spent even more hours finding the perfect middle name (Acacia). I'm glad you like it. Bye!

That sounds really fun. If I ever have a wedding I'll try and make sure there's something fun like a trampoline or silly string or something.

Today, I'm quite happy that I still have a job after hearing of more layoffs elsewhere in the company today.

Also, I'm pleased as punch to have (indirectly) created this thread! :)

I'm happy to have bought tahini! And the health food shop I bought it from has related things like cashew nut butter and pumpkin seed butter. I see much happy experimentation in my future.
I also got to play with a huge amount of bubble wrap as some new equipment got delivered here today. Yay for shiny new things to play with, yay for getting to use brute force and rip packaging apart, and yay for bubble wrap.

Edit: I'm also happy that there's a happy thread. Just after posting, I got a big smile on my face and started singing "I love momentum, I love to engineer..."
Please note that despite the lovely avatar Sungura gave me, I am not a medical doctor.

Possibly my proudest moment on the fora.

I'm happy that it is my day off and that I get to RP tonight. I'm happy that it's a gorgeous day outside and that I was already planning to go for a run. I'm happy that I love my public speaking class and wasn't expecting to.

I'm also very happy because work has been going well, things with the husband are better than ever, and I got to see Coraline 3D last night and it was really cool.

(And happy that there is a happy thread because now I can come here to be happy and not just ranty or confessy)

I just found some Green and Black dark chocolate at the CVS the other day. I'll have to find me some of their ice cream... :-)

I'm happy that there's a happy thread.

You love ferrets too? Can I come visit your ferrets? I can't have any yet... :-(

But I'm happy that I'm not the only person that likes ferrets.
My parents think I'm deranged.

Edit: It is really weird being referred to as a guy. Fun weird, I guess, but still weird. Maybe I should change my name or something...

Yes, but it's still not widely accepted as a gender. We're having a rally downtown Pittsburgh next weekend. :-)

Ack! Sorry! (When in doubt I usually just assume male. Horrible of me, I know) I'm happy that I'm on a forum with a much higher male/female ratio, so I usually end up wrong with this assumption!
gerb wrote:Can I come visit your ferrets? I can't have any yet... :-(
Sadly, neither do I.

But to remain happy! I will remind myself that I can go visit the ferrets at my pet store any time for free :D

Yay ferrets!

Its a party that has the movie Grease as the theme! I get to go in 50s rock and roll gear!! Or at least the closest I can get to it! I'm very excited! (hence the unusually large amount of exclamation points hehe)

Hmm, I'm conflicted. On one hand, some bad stuff has happened recently. On the other hand, some awesome stuff has happened recently.

I'll just go with the good stuff. I recently met a forumite in real life, I aced my math test, I discovered fun things to do with my hair, I got a copy of Beyond Good and Evil, and I got my webserver running (even though I don't really have anything on it).

I am happy because there's a chance I'll move in with a very good friend of mine (in the summer, but still). I'm also happy in general these last few weeks. I don't think I was depressed before or anything, and nothing much has changed, but I just feel good.

Still wish I had a boyfriend, though. :)

Which would mean there are fewer females here than on other forums. You really think that's what was meant?

No, I'm just an idiot. That happens sometimes. Apparently quite frequently yesterday.

I'm happy that I got out of class half an hour early, and as a result can make a really awesome dinner for my break at work. Usually I have to cram in the prep for my lunch between class and work and now I have time for a really good one.
