The worst designed page on the internet

Postby mrcheesypants » Sun Mar 08, 2009 2:03 am UTC

I think I've found the most eye-bleedingly bad website on the internet. Be warned, the site I'm about to link to makes most myspace websites look professional.

http://yvettesbridalformal.com/

Spoiler:
This is not the worst designed page on the internet. This is the enter page to the worst designed page on the internet. Good luck finding the enter link without a Ctrl+f

Enter was positioned neatly in the centre of screen, but it did look like somebody vomited. Who would finish designing that and say "Yes, this is perfect!"?

My eyes. They're bleeding.

However I do like the Bach Double on the second map.

When I saw this title, I was going to refute you by posting the Time Cube website.

But no, you've won. You truly have found the worst designed page on the internet. Even if it is a joke, I think that page has achieved perfection in atrocious design. KF

Oh God, it even has auto-playing music.

They did miss some things though....it could've been worse if some of that text didn't have colored boxes behind it.

Also, this page doesn't use frames! What horrible webpage doesn't use frame?! I remember once I found a site with about 15 frames or so. They had frames that were just a few pixels wide, just to create lines etc. It was pretty bad. It probably doesn't exist anymore, it's been at least ten years...

Go on the time cube website, scroll down a little to the red text under CATASTROPIC WARNING, and you'll find that as well as being "Wisest and Cubic", he also does good impressions of a racist.

Yeah, this really depresses me. Before, Time Cube was a pretty good average quack website with a couple of racist things thrown in for good measure. Now that Obama's elected the racist stuff is front and center.

There is some text without coloured boxes behind it, but it's just keyword spam. Also (from the index page):

Code: Select all

<meta name="keywords" content="Yvette's, health, fitness, weightloss, weight loss, religion, space aliens">
...And that is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped.

Well, from it's last three meta tags, <meta name="keywords" content="Yvette's, health, fitness, weightloss, weight loss, religion, space aliens">, it sort of gives me that sort of Church of the SubGenius vibe. Watching their mental assault video "ARISE!" is certainly a comparable experience to visiting this website. (which in turn feels like watching 90 minutes of this)

I doubt the site in the OP is a serious website rather than a joke....

Anyway, http://tedjesuschristgod.org/ is a pretty amusing website I visit every now and then. He makes youtube videos too, a couple of which are really hilarious. I recommend "TED is MAXIMUM SOVEREIGN THING what EXIST!"

My initial thought was "MY EYES! OH GOD, MY EYES!!" But that map does make the site look like it's supposed to be a joke.

When I look at the site in this new light, I'm actually seriously impressed. I don't think I could make a website look that bad, no matter how hard I tried. Sure, I could be skillful with my use of marquee tags and primary colours, but I could never achieve that level of perfection!

Anyone want to start an ugly website competition?

That sounds dangerous. Eventually someone would put in some horrible strobe effect somewhere and anyone who tried to access the wiki would have severe epileptic fits, regardless of whether they have epilepsy or not. We'd be responsible for the death of millions.

Hmm, I don't know. While I find it exceedingly unlikely that a mine, an abandoned mill, a haunted house, and a graveyard would all be located within one square mile, I can't say it's impossible. The street names look legit, and I know for a fact that there is a Panama City.

Anyways, I nominate this to be 2009's answer to the Rickroll...I got an ominous chill while typing that...
