Just FYI, the guy isn't avatar isn't me. But he seems pretty cool.

!!!! I have a free ticket to the RenFest, been looking forward to using that thing for forever. Let me know how you like the Fest!

My plans:
Friday: If nothing else comes up, I will be driving 40 miles to a house party in Humble with my S/O, where I will know almost no one. I prefer to be my own person when we go out together, but I can't see how I will manage this when I don't know anyone and I'm terrifically shy about meeting new people on my own.
If something does come up, it will likely involve going out with my girlfriends for a night of casual, fun dancing in our costumes. We have also talked about going to see a haunted house beforehand!!! That would be my first haunted house, ever, so I'm hoping that happens!
I'm hoping something comes up.

Saturday: I have the option of going to yet another of my S/O's friend's house parties, where I once again won't know anyone. Once again I'd prefer not to do this.
Me and my friends are looking in to buying tickets to a Latin dance club Halloween party... could be fun! I've never been to this place.

edit: I think this thread is unique from the normal run-of-the-mill weekend plans chat... it's a holiday weekend, etc. Not to mention it'd be cool if people could post pictures of their activities and stuff :D personally I'd prefer to keep this thread separate.
milk from space is good for you!

I always completely forget about the existence of Halloween until a few days before it happens. I finally remembered Halloween last night when my friend showed me her costume and it finally hit me.

I guess Halloween doesn't matter much because I grew up in a small and very rural town, so trick-or-treating and the like were practically impossible. When the houses are all miles apart, you can't really trick-or-treat effectively. So I never got into the excitement of having a cool costume and junk.

I always remember when it's to late to make a costume, but I never really care to much.

That's just a general weekend thread though. This is Halloween! *starts singing the song of the same name from Nightmare before Christmas*

Seriously though, I didn't think of that, and also would have posted it had Halloween been on a Wednesday. Special holidays don't strike me as being the same as just weekends, even when they fall on one.

Also forgot to mention, I'm gonna try to be a mad scientist. Got a lab coat and test tubes to put glowy liquid in from the hospital for it.

Tonight: Sleeping off a terrible two weeks of school
Halloween: Going to a Halloween party at a friend of mine's awesome house. Dressing up as pajama Sam. I'll see what happens.
Sunday: Spending the day with family. Going to the farmer's market in the morning for breakfast and such, then seeing Where The Wild Things Are. Probably getting a couch.

I plan on passing out some raisins and health bars from my front porch in my rocking chair dressed as the ominous and bone-chilling "ghost", sporting the insatiably clever white bedsheet with small eyeholes cut out for my own vision because you know if I can't see I can't be spooky or pass out candy properly! Haha

I've also been working on perfecting my "BOO!", which I plan on yelling whenever those crazy youngsters come to my house for "trick-or-treating"; hah, it's such a hoot seeing the blood-curdling terror I unleash with my voice ever so slightly amplified and with a nice spooky, very evil sounding accent. It no longer sounds like "BOO!" but more like the terrifying "Baaaa-OOOOH!", which is sure to send those young folk running. Of course, being a concerned member of the neighborhood, I will be sure not to do it to any children under the age of 16, because they are easily frightened and I don't want to scare away the poor whippersnappers before they get their "heart healthy candy", as I humorously call it.

Yes, this Halloween will be fantastic. Now don't any of you youngsters go off and try to steal my costume or treat ideas; they're all mine and I've worked on them for years to perfect them in the most frightening, horrifying, and terrifyingly healthy and fun manner! Yep, that's my Halloween plans. I know some of you young whippersnappers and teenyboppers like to stay up late and pull pranks of a most scrupulous manner, but I warn you that I will only be out until 6:22, which is when I must depart for the land of the beyond - bed! Hah, I'm getting the hang of these Halloween festivities already!

Today: Went to school, came home, didn't do much of anything. And I know some of my friends were going to a movie because they talked about it right in font of me and once one of them was even talking about it directly to me, yet no one would tell me when or where it was and ignored me when I asked so I figured they didn't want me there. Kinds BS, but I talked to Girl instead, so it all worked out.

Tomorrow: Do nothing most of the day. Dress up and go to party around 7:30. Could be fun, could be horrible, could be a bit awkward. Will probably be a combination of all three. Leave party. Sleep.

Sunday: Nothing special. Sleep a lot, procrastinate doing homework, finally get to the homework, go to sleep too late because I procrastinated, and get less sleep than I need so that I'm tired on monday. Same as always.

Today: Hung out with my sister, since it was her birthday on Tuesday so I came home to see her, and had dinner with my family.

Tomorrow: More hanging with my mom and sister, then going to Boston early enough to get in lots of cuddles and Castle before Halloween party! Somewhere in there I will decide definitively between the two costumes that I have. Bah.

Sunday: More cuddling with the boy, then back to NYC.

Getting into the spirit of Halloween, I've spent most of the last two days running from pharmacy to pharmacy in an attempt to acquire psychotropic drugs.

Then I figured I'd go on here and try to find a party to awkwardly sneak into.

But, most importantly, Valkyria Chronicle.

Today: Be depressed that I have nothing to do, and hand out candy to the little snots. No costume this year.

Tomorrow: Be depressed about how much Halloween sucked this year. Catch up on my fuckton of homework.

I took a bunch of hard candy out of the wrappers, then replaced them with rocks and handed them out to the children. When a kid brings the tainted candy to their parent claiming "I got a rock," the parent will assume that their child likes Charlie Brown.

1. Go out with friends and get candy
2. Head back to friend's house because it's cold as fuck outside/feet hurt/hungry for real food
3. Screw around on the computer for a few hours
4. Go home and feel sick from too much candy
5. Vow not to be so stupid next year

Next year, I'm just sitting in the bushes next to our hose on standby with a hose. More fun that way.

We started work on these last weekend - finished up THIS weekend. Each proton pack took about 5 hrs of work. Mostly just cardboard, black duct tape, spray paint, wires and hose. The goggles took 4 hours total - and we could see through them. Also the traps maybe another hour or so. All told, we didnt spend more than $30 a piece.

We were pretty much had rock-star status wherever we went. It was fucking awesome.

Back from Ren fest and back at work. Had a good time on saturday, plenty of people wanted a picture with me, wchich was neat. The only downside was the camping. We did not pack enough blankets, and our neighbors were really silly pseudo-hippies. They talked from midnight to dawn about how awesome it would be to live with out commercial society, while texting. Then one of the girls in that tent started screaming about how she needed to pee. for three hours. I wanted to hit them, lots and hard. instead, I took a walk.

But yeah, other than that, I had a fantastic time.

I was in New Orleans this year for Halloween. Got into town friday, did some walking and sightseeing. Halloween I did much the same thing, though that afternoon I went back to the hotel room and got changed into my costume. I happened to be Waldo this year, which meant that people in various states of drunkenness were shouting that they found me while I walked up bourbon street with my sister. Pretty good time I'd say.

So! Thursday is Happy Thursday again - last day of work AND I get in late because I have Japanese class in the morning (though I leave at the same time) AND I go out for lunch, which means it's a much shorter day than usual. In the evening I have the LGBT group I'm co-instructing. We're doing homophobia snakes-and-ladders, I hope that will go well.

On Friday morning I have a chiropractor's appointment, I hope the effects last a bit longer this time. It's only the fourth time (third is today) and they say it can take a while until the pains disappear completely but I want results! After that I need to do some grocery shopping, cleaning and a bit of cooking. Not sure what I'll cook yet. I have a casserole and some soup frozen, and a bit of lasagna. We'll see. I'll most likely also make something for my brother's birthday dinner that evening.

I have no plans for Saturday at the moment. There's a good chance I'll go watch a movie since I haven't in a while.

I still got three movies on my computer which I need to watch :( ( The Big Lebowski, Nosferatu ( The original ) and Shutter Island )

Also, yes I admit begin an ass for downloading. Well actually downloading is legal here. Uploading isn't. Don't ask me why.

Change of plans - Thursday is reserve duty day (Japanese to be postponed to Sunday, no change in Thursday evening). And I'll make cheese-and-chocolate brownies for my brother's b-day.

Thursday! Weekend! WOOO!!!

Tonight I'm going to the LGBT group I'm instructing. I think we have something fun planned, I hope the kids'll like it.
Tomorrow there's an LGBT picnic sort of deal in Tel Aviv from noon until four, I'll go to it, hopefully it will be good. In the evening I'm going with my parents to meet my brother's fiancee's family for the first time. I'm expecting good food! Too bad it's more than an hour's drive away, but it's not that bad.
I don't have many plans for Saturday, but I really want to see How to Train Your Dragon, so maybe then. And I have some friends I might meet as well. Good weekend! Except I won't have much time to cook tomorrow... Maybe Sat. morning.

It is sunny but cold.
Saturday:
- Grocery shop
- Get some stuff my mom wants (I dunno what, she handed me a list)
- Go by craft store to get 2 more baskets because those are Oh me yarm so nice I have all my yarn in one and I need another for fibre/spinning stuff.
- Pick up sticks and stuff in yard
- Mow? Grass is uneven because some of it is green and growing and some is still brown from the winter
- Put down weedkiller
- Plant grass in the areas that need it (no weedkiller will go there - we had 2 trees taken down and where they were needs grass)

Sunday:
- Work on my presentation for Wednesday

Today: shower, wait for Jim to get out of work, take bus to Providence, install dreads, come back home, get yelled at for dreads by father, dinner with father and his girlfriend. Sunday: Yardsale-ing, look for couch for basement, turn CRT dinosaur into fishtank, buy beta fish. Dinner, sleep.
