You have an awesome accent Jmrz! Though it goes to show how untrained my ears are at differentiating accents, your accent sounds closer to what I percieve as a British accent than an Australian one...although I suppose saying an accent is "Aussie" doesn't necessarily narrow it down much, now, does it?

I'll have to pick up a microphone and offer my whitebread American voice for all your listening pleasure (or not) sometime...

I don't have an easily accessible clip to just listen to, but I have made a handful of voiceposts on my livejournal. So that's almost as good.

Like, me singing the Weird Al Show Theme. That's totally what my voice sounds like, yeah?

*apologizes in advance for hurting people's ears.* I can carry a tune in a bucket, solong as I have something to sing against, but I can't really do anything with it from there...

What a shame about 80% of the clips have been taken down. I was looking forward to this thread.
I already have a hate thread. Necromancy > redundancy here, so post there.

I feel... obligated? to post here. So here I am. I don't like how I get snipped off at the end, nor do I like hearing my mic shift. But I suppose it serves its purpose.

Oh this has been fun...although I could only hear a few clips...also, Thorfluff...so adorable. Anyway, never ever ever will my voice or accent be recorded, I grew up in rural west of Ireland yet apparently sound rather like an adolescent upper class English girl, it has been the bane of my life.

I am TigerX and this is my voice. It's a dry read, so you'll forgive the minor pauses whilst my brain crunches some of the more complex words and the misspelling of the word Faculty as Facility.

Ah, you have one of the nicer, less offensive American accents.

Sounds like a lack of accent, so my guess is the Great Lakes area. (That's where I am from.)

You have excellent diction.

I'm from the UK [i.e. I have an excuse for getting this wrong by two time zones), but would have a guess at somewhere in New England?

Anyway - I don't have the means to record my voice for you guys, but I do sing in a band: you can hear my voice here.

I have Ventrilo, but haven't gotten anything recorded yet.

If I actually had a paid Ventrilo account, I'd make an XKCD vent channel. Which would invite all sorts of insanity, if AIM chat is any indication.

I wish some voice chat would happen. The microphone on this headset is getting very little use.

I'd record some voice for this thread, but I just can't think of anything to show off my speaking voice. Also, I'd be embarrassed to post a recording.

One of these days I'll get around to changing my voice to something niftier.

Not that I have an interesting voice. So where in the U.S. am I from?

Ooooh, I don't know what it is but your voice/accent has a certain quality I really like, don't change it.

I will, btw, never ever be posting an audio clip, there's little I detest more than the sound of my own voice.

I don't have any of me speaking...here's one that my sister sent to my phone a few months ago with the accompanying message "I recorded you singing. I think you were in the shower." I don't hear any water...I'm pretty sure I was driving or in the kitchen. Anyhow, when I'm at home, I'm pretty much singing no matter where I am. I don't seem to sound particularly great doing it, either, if this is any indication.

I like this thread. A voice is somehow more personal to me than a picture.

Here comes my voice. The third try, yet I'm still stuttering around. Meh. At least I managed to not produce any of the embarrassing farting or growling noises that make for the amusing part of every presentation I have to give o.o'

Here's some stuff from my first few months on high school radio...man I'm glad I've gotten better since then. "Voice" is an intro, and the other is a craptastic bumper I made in GarageBand since I wasn't let anywhere near the Production equipment till my second year.
