I find this is just the worst in speech. I'm constantly stopping myself mid-sentence to explain which homonym I mean. If I just said, "Don't go there!" Then, well. Imagine. They might think I was saying, "Don't go they are". And then they'd just be confused.

To clarify: There was a person who was arguing against having to use the right ones in the right place because they thought they were actually all the same word and that it is stupid to just spell the same word differently at different times when it means the same thing.
It's not just that they were using the words interchangeabley, they actually thought they were all the same word.
