It's a wordfilter. The mods have made it so certain phrases get changed around.
Including;
Saladin's Mom = Saladin's Mom (Saladin is a dickhead)
Jesus Christ = Optimus Prime
¡This cheese is burning me! =the cheese thing
ftfyBruce Schneierwhat is saladin's mom?
How did you get around the word filter?
Now the real question is how did I get around the Bruce Schneier word filter?

I am a big fan of runescape. It is a game I can never give up...I take breaks here and there but will never fully give it up till I die.

Why waste you're time looking for good videos when someone else has already done it for you.
I tend to click the 'random' button, and then watch anything that I haven't seen and looks interesting. I think post it to facebook, pretending to have found it myself.

I'm not entirely sure if I have any songs I used to love but now hate. None come to mind anyway. Course, I've been known to have extremely narrow tunnel vision when it comes to memory, if that description makes sense.
Also, I still love here comes the sun
Edit: Oh right, I hate the thong song now. God, it makes me so embarrassed to ever have liked it.

Re: What sites do you go on when you're bored?
Not sure if this deserves a new thread, but let's find out:
My go-to sites for instant mental vacation have lately been 9gag.com and some of the sites on the Cheezburger network (memebase.com , failbooking.com , and so forth), with a little Daily Kos, Boing Boing, and Salon mixed in. There's a rather aggressive filter up on my work network, but those have evaded blockage thus far.
I kinda feel like I can do a little better than that, though. Sometimes I miss the days when I constantly had a terminal open and could just run *nix "fortune" over and over and over again. Looking back, I think of it as a little more highbrow – sometimes, a lot more highbrow.
Is there a web equivalent of "fortune" these days?

I usually go on forums.macrumors.com when I'm bored. When I'm not doing that, I'm usually on NightStar IRC, along with a lot of other channels. I'm on a lot of social networks, but they've become so script-heavy that I'm forced to use the mobile version on my iBook Clamshell, and I've always found the content I can find on forums to be much more interesting.

Reddit, xkcd, neatorama, woot, lifehacker. Once I go through these I re-open reddit until I get bored of reading, then I open reddit in a new tab. Rinse, repeat. There is no escape.

Re: What sites do you go on when you're bored?
I spend too much time on IMDB. Here's how it goes: I watch a movie. I look up the movie, then look up one of the actors in said movie, then see what new things they're going to be in, click on the new things, and gripe that they're remakes/sequels/prequels/reboot. Close window. Continue watching movie. Remember that there's another actor in it that I wanted to look up. Go back to IMDB...etc. etc. Viscous cycle.
Re: What sites do you go on when you're bored?
I alternate between memebase.com and 9gag.com , even though there tends to be a lot of overlapping content, but today I found out about gagful.com , and so I'm wondering if there are other particular, superior alternatives of this nature.

Fucking anything? Membase and 9gag are the ebaumsworld of the 2010s.
meh.ro (often posts NSFW content, but often sources things), imgur.com (sometimes has NSFW content to always has NSFW content depending on where you are, usually sources back to the originating reddit thread), or reddit's various /r/funny /r/adviceanimals or whatever subs (anywhere from too tame for church to Makes NSFW look too tame for church, depending on where you are, sometimes sources their stuff, sometimes not.. hard to say as it's all user generated)

Try funnyjunk.com? It's a step up

No seriously go on the default subreddits.
Re: What sites do you go on when you're bored?
Well... at least the site layouts are pretty clean. Are you actually supposed to sort through all those thumbnails on imgur.com? Same with funnyjunk. And I do like the absence of unfiltered NSFW content.SecondTalon wrote:Fucking anything? Membase and 9gag are the ebaumsworld of the 2010s.

4. http://www.livejournal.com - If you like journaling, then you will absolutely LOVE this site! This site gives you your own journal as well as the means to write in it and say exactly what you want. Other people can see your blog and it is one of the better blog sites out there
5. http://www.kongregate.com - If you like playing online games, then this site is another good gaming site that also has in-game chat with lots of other people.
6. http://www.youtube.com - This site has hundreds of thousands of videos that you can watch to whittle away the time that you have on the Internet. There are many great videos on this site that can really capture your attention.
7. http://www.runescape.com - This MMORPG has hundreds of thousands of players playing it simultaneously, and it has a lot of content, which means you won't get bored fairly easy. Registration is needed, but is free
.
8. http://maplestory.nexon.net - This MMORPG has literally millions of players that play it, has an amazing amount of content, has a great support system, and is very fun to play with your friends
. Registration is needed, which is free, and a massive download is also required, but is also free. Only choose this option if your Internet is fast enough to download a 1.078GB file!
Hope this helps give you quite a few ideas to help you from becoming bored

Some new sites I've been playing around on:
Not Always Working - The work place. Nowhere will you find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be careful.
Not Always Right - The customer can be down right stupid or mean.
Not Always Learning - Schools are supposed to be an institute of learning and knowledge, right?
Not Always Related - Are you sure you're my son/daughter?
Not Always Romantic - Why do we love each other?

I was willing to overlook the reports of 9gag's brazen theivery, but then the other day someone actually posted screencaps of an entire BuzzFeed article, which crossed a line in my book.
Fortunately there's http://www.hugelol.com and http://www.themetapicture.com , which are pretty much the same thing.

Buzzfeed is actually sort of a step up from those, as it at least sort of consists of original content – both in that it's sort of original, and it's sort of content. And they have articulated some kind of stance against clickbait.SecondTalon wrote:Membase and 9gag are the ebaumsworld of the 2010s.

Text-based tumblr humor can be kind of neat! I like https://www.facebook.com/TheOriginalBestOfTumblr , though it tends to have lots of repeats. The only alternative I know of is http://tbotofficial.me/ , but navigating it is painfully laborious.
