Awesome Thing That is Also A Shameless Plug: My boss qualified (by running a 50 mile race in under 9(?) hours), and won the selection lottery to run the Western States 100, a 100 mile race through the Sierra Nevada mountains. He is running in June, and dedicating his run to the Sacramento Children's Home, the Family Resource Centers (where I work!) in particular.

If anyone feels like throwing a little money at him, that would be super amazing and appreciated. The FRCs are really important. We do parenting classes, stress reduction, child abuse prevention, home visitation (parenting classes and resource liaisons within the family's home), we have an intervention specialist who helps vulnerable families through crises (domestic violence, loss of housing, etc.), and we host other organizations (like counselors) and such. https://kidshome.ejoinme.org/MyPages/SC ... fault.aspx

Today, my brother and I were "covering" Angel by Judas Priest with him playing the guitar and me singing and then when we realized we were both reasonably terrible, we switched to playing Metal Dumb Charades for an hour. It was fun to sign Jens Kidman. I did the freaky eyeball movement and everything. Then we punched each other's faces and finally gave up and had a smoke together.

Was pretty awesome.

Not really :P I was up at 4am on Saturday to take my gf's parents to the airport. Then because I slept for so long on Saturday night, I really don't feel like I had a weekend.

No awesomeness in so long? More awesomeness required.

Great drive to work this morning, it was sunny, random-select on my music-box churned out some great driving songs and the roads were empty because it's a Bank Holiday.
