Trying to find name of famous Canadian murderer

Postby Jorpho » Mon Nov 30, 2009 5:48 am UTC

Someone was telling me about this famous Canadian murder trial that occurred back in the 70s, involving several very young children in western Canada.

Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find the right spelling of the name.

Treeman?
Treiman?
Threiman?
Thrieman?
Thriman?
Thrimean?

I'm getting nowhere. Does this ring any bells?

I can't think of one with a name like treeman. The only really high-profile case around that time was Clifford Olson

Freeman? Maybe you have one of the important letters off.

Pirate.Bondage: Let's get married. Right now.

As in John Gilbert Freeman? He was in Arizona. This was definitely a Canadian.

Is it Paul Bernardo? I don't know when his trials were, but he and Karla Homolka are the only Canadian killers that I can think of.

Obviously there's no guarantee they're all listed there, but might be useful to check the details of those from the right time period.

Then obviously this is a Canadian killer you haven't thought of. :P

Ahh, found it. Threinen! Specifically, David Threinen.

A topic too obscure even for Wikipeida, it seems.
