Well, to start this off, I'm in college taking Systems Engineering (but I'm not sure if it classifies as major or such, as I'm not American) but I like art and want to study in an Arts College in the US.

I'm also not representative of the majority of forumites here, though.

Anyways, you seem to be new here. Welcome to the fora.

Weeks, I think that might possibly classify as a major.

Vieto, I know, I had a hard time putting it into words. My hands struggled to form 'not on the internet', just like they did right now.

Play what some may consider to be too many video games. I also volunteer at the hospital, upgrade my credits, cook a lot, drink tea and coffee, watch DVD's of TV shows, read, walk the dog, take care of the house and spend time with my significant other. In a few months I'm hoping to be going to college as well.

Generally, I curl up in the fetal position and wait for the internet connection to be restored.

Or I find some friends and play a party board game of dubious quality, but high hilarity, and have a good time.

I have a bachelor's degree, but right now I'm a Marketing Assistant (or something like that; I don't actually have a title here). Basically, I prepare a bunch of Excel spreadsheets and other things that probably don't require a degree.

I'm currently doing a Masters in Chemistry;
I'm also a Raft Guide
and I repair "outdoor gear" and surface immersion drysuits sometimes (I'm looking at starting to make some from scratch soon having just aquired 8 meters of gortex in Fluroecent Yellow and Orange.)

Also I constantly worry about what I want to do next: Graduate Medicine, MSc in Explosive Ordinance Engineering or Bum round the world on an endless summer of rafting seasons; And sometimes I obsess over how my relationship with my close friend (Former SO) is massively unhealthy for both of us but that we can do shit all about it.

Umm, well:
    Full-throttle parenting
    Management consultancy (public sector)
Astrophysics (post-doc research, although I've recently got side-tracked into exogeology)
    Fencing (badly)
    Running (slowly)
    Kick-boxing (v. badly)
Rolling restoration of the clapped-out british sports car I've run for 15 years (which does not, currently, work)
Trying to be a good husband (probably pretty bad at that too)
Oh, and I have an array of emotionally retarded (but very nice) friends...

In my spare time I'd read trash books and watch crap telly, but luckily I don't have much spare time.

{EDIT} Oh, sorry, I've now read your exam question and realised I've not answered it. My first degree was in Physics. I then did a Masters and a PhD in Astrophysics. I'm here to tell you that all of these have been of no earthly use in a career in Management Consultancy. Frankly, a degree in klingon would have done, but I love science (and particularly astro and planetary science). The consultancy pays the mortgage and puts food on the table.

A normal day consists of me spending 8-10 hours as a code monkey, with internet access but way too much work to waste much time on it. This is followed by spending a few hours online/watching tv shows(anime or sci-fi stuff mostly)/reading then sleeping. Terribly exciting I know.

I may also be even more blasphemous than just not being on the internet and actually go outside upon occasion, notably to play soccer or go skiing.

Got my BS in materials science and engineering. My current position is general engineer in a smallish government agency.

In my free time, I drink, go to trivia nights, ride my motorcycle (hopefully plural again), play video games, and watch movies, mostly.

Well I am a It engineer for a small company but that is just a catch all term for what I do (basicly everything related to computers in this company) outside work I normally spend my time working on my hobby project, drinking or visiting friends. But I also like to spend time alone fishing, shooting or reading.

I am not including walking my dog as to me that isn't a hobby it's a labour of love :D

Job: when not at uni, bartender. When at uni, I am unemployed student bum.

Randoms, listen to music, play the odd bit of XBox/PC games, gym, kick about down the park, play in football team, watch football, get horribly drunk.

I would say go to work, but I actually spend more time on the internet at work than I do when I'm home :D Anyhow, when not surfing the tubes, I usually work out of some of my old math books from college (to try and stay sharp-ish), watch football (when in season), play random 360 titles, and drink on occasion. As for my job, I actually kind of use my degree (AS in Chemistry), as I'm a night manager of the quality control lab for a petroleum refinery. Speaking of, I probably better get ready for shift change!

edit: AS not BS. I'm only 20!

Alright. Here goes... I've got a degree in Computer & Information Systems. I am a recent graduate, and am currently seeking gainful employ whilst working at a restaurant. I write a blog regarding working in said restaurant (link in sig) as well.

When im not on the innernet, or watching TV, or at work, i can usually be found tinkering with my vintage automobile, or fixing stuff around the house. Every now and again i am lucky enough to score a vacation, in which case i can usually be found somewhere between 30 to 100 feet under the sea (i'm a PADI certified SCUBA diver) off the shores of some tropical island somewhere.

Degree in Computer Network Administration or something like that, I forget the official naming convention. Work for a company that is the outsource - companies who for whatever reason don't have their own IT staff (or one that's just not that knowledgeable, or one that was essentially told "Yeah, you in Accounting. You're the head of IT now.") hire us to do the IT thing. I deal mostly in the Windows world, so lots of Active Directory crap coupled with "No, RIGHT click..." pretty much describes my current job.

When I'm not there or here, I'm just being so goddamn sexy it hurts. Usually without a shirt.

I am a nanny, so I run around after an 8-year-old boy. I have a BA in psych from NYU, not that it's necessary at all in my job, but I will only be doing this until June. Ideally I will go into social work or school psychology, but I need a Master's first and I won't have that until 2013 or so. Christ that sounds like a long time away. It's really not.

I also hang out with friends, read, bake, and spend a disproportionate amount of time traveling to Boston just to lay in a big bed for the weekend.

When not on the internet, I'm usually washing dishes at a restaraunt. I recently put in an application for a job at a toy factory. Unfortunately, it dosen't require me playing with the toys.

I also camp, fish, cruise the Missouri and Gasconade rivers with my dad, play videogames, hang out with friends, and go bowling occasionally. I plan on getting my hunters safety certificate so I can start hunting, and I also like wondering around the forest.

I don't mind Denver. The restaurants more or less suck, but there's a decent music scene and good theater. It's a big enough city to provide a range of entertainment, but it doesn't feel nearly as crowded as New York or Chicago might. It doesn't hurt that there are numerous ski resorts within a few hours of where I live, either.

Edit: To directly address the OP, I'm a high school senior and, as such, possess little formal education. My job (at a local grocery store) doesn't require any sort of education, but neither is it my primary source of income.

I'm a college student who wishes he were working. When my last hoop is jumped through, I'll be working at Microsoft (a company for which the opinions expressed in any of my postings do not necessarily reflect). Until then, I'm alternating semesters between Purdue and there. And what do I do there? Well, that's a secret. When our product/service surfaces, I'll be sure to be gloating about it loudly around these parts.

To keep myself from becoming a spiteful prick who hates those around him, I spend a lot of time with a college Christian ministry doing a number of things in the dorms. Essentially we just gauge people's spiritual positions and have long, insightful talks about life with whoever will. It is, I suppose, the softest and most productive form of evangelism. Incidentally, Jesus is a person for whom the opinions expressed in any of my postings do not necessarily reflect as well. :)

Currently working on my Masters In Biochemistry, with focus on protein chemistry (specifically protein dynamics in relation to fibrillation)

When not working on that, I am spending a lot of time time at the local student bar (member of the board), working out, snowboarding or just plain having fun with friends.

Sadly I have no job, but two years ago I did a school year as teacher in highschool chemistry (more exactly, second year)

I live in the nineth biggest metropolitan areas in the country and grew up outside Ft. Lauderdale. During the brief period I lived in a small town, I was bored senseless. Here, there's always things to do, stuff to see, and places to go. And it's almost all accessible by public transit. I love it.

I live in a little town, but people come here on day trips as it's by the beach, and a nice part of the world. A lot of people find it boring here as it really is small - population is roughly 10,000, but you can double that when the students are at uni and take over the town- but I like really like it :)
