In the process of getting my camera to work. According to the camera lady at work, who says according to the camera people she has called before for various customers and herself, if you chose "safely remove hardware" for certain types of camera the computer won't recognise them any more, or something. Apparently mine is a certain type of camera. I will get it fixed soon (exams today, then I'm free all week to phone them up), and then it's hermaj + sombrero time!

Also, jesster, do you have relatives in Sydney? You look remarkably like the last guy I dated, like you could be related maybe.

That's alright, you're not the first to say that. It's worth a shot though, I'm struggling to figure out why it used to connect and recognise and now it doesn't. The only other thing I might try is buying a new USB cable for it, the one they gave me is pretty crappy and not at all like the one in all their diagrams. But I know it works, because I used it to plug the computer into itself and the camera using all three connections - only then did it know anything was attached, and it didn't recognise it. I probably just attached the computer as a device to itself, or something. Computer stuff is annoying.

Did you leave it plugged in a while? I know sometimes I get impatient and unplug stuff while its being detected. I've had it take up to 30 seconds before...

Yeah, I did, until the camera shut off. That's partly how I knew it wasn't connecting, at least the USB part, because when it was plugged in and turned on, the camera just functioned normally, like it wasn't even attached. So that was in there for a few minutes before the camera turned off from not being used. When I used the other part of the cable, which just looks like your usual male connection you'd use for the speakers, the camera went blank like it normally does when it's connected to the computer, but the computer failed to recognise it. I tried to get it to search and I also left it for a while there. I could try longer when I get home, maybe. I'm just annoyed because I've barely used the camera, you know? It's only ever been connected to the computer twice before. Also, I took awesome pictures.

So I guess you don't have a mem card reader or mem card slots in your monitor that you could use :-( I lost the USB cable for my camera but I just grab the photos straight off the memory card.

Nope, no memory card. It fits a fair stack of photos on it (about 200 on normal resolution and the smaller picture size) so I've never bothered, really. Kind of wish I had, now that you've said that. I will just call Pentax tomorrow morning and ask them what is going on.

Man, the guy I was dating was drunk all the time. In fact, he drank $110 of my hard earned dollars, rather than actually paying me back. "I spent $600 on booze this week trying to get over you!" Man, I'm not worth that much.

Point is, Jesster, if you were drunk, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between you and him anyway. But I'm pretty certain we've never dated. :P

My husband and I in July 04. I was in Weurzburg, Germany visiting him (he was stationed over there) and we trucked it on down to the Kiliani fest.

We're both slightly hammered.

Okay, maybe more than slightly.

Also, the picture of a Brittish man's ass.

Teeheehee! Well, squeekers, I'll call...

...with a (hard to see) German man in drag with huge boobs.

Irony of ironies, later that evening, another German man (in a Robin Hood costume) came out, and they did a duet of "Born in the USA". Quite amusing. :D
