If I say that this is left purposely blank, then the statement contradicts the reality, which is that the sig space was not left blank, but had the words 'This space left purposely blank' in it.

Truly t'was time to rhyme
on suitable subjects so
what was i wanting?

I should sit sorrowfully silent
In the corner concocting curious plans
but being beastily blatant

Im rhyming rather randomly

(its rhymes i swear)

With eyes so vigil
Though you think your words may insult
You should know that they do instead flatter
Because even though it seems i've started a cult
It does still to me matter
That someone still takes the time
To with a critics eye
view every rhyme
So with a slight sigh
I begin so fervently
To another rhyme compose
for you all to view and see
perhaps i shall try prose?

rhyme,
I would give them their dues

I should be doing work
I should be controlling many a number
I'm actually being a jerk
For my inactivity others do encumber
My boss gave me the week
And that promise i will keep
Even if that does entail
That thursday will be made of fail
Because this is too great a success
especially since we were joined by eXS
Though i must inquire
Yet again
What did transpire?
Why arn't you on MSN?

I should be working and I am
No task I'm shirking but I damn
That my stomach is so growling
That by each caller that comes howling
I grow more impatient
and i have a hunch
that the feeling is no longer latent
I NEED LUNCH

I should be doing stuff...
Meh, that won't say enough...
I should run off as I've
to find a floppy drive
cause you know my laptop won't be
too fond of compatibility
'cept for standards long deprecated
(well, it is by now antiquated).
It will only take a short while
to copy this annoying file,
then I should hurry,
but do not worry,
the next calss will be fun
and I'll get a one

(I managed to confuse you lot,
well, this is the mark which I got.
For a german or for a 'Bayer'
marks can not become any higher)

I think that Dr. Suess had that problem once. Then he went off the rocker, put in an absinthe IV and started his real masterpieces.

It would seem for the sake of the rhyme
On tender twigs i chewed and munched
For last nights dinner was indeed spiced with thyme
And so will this days lunch
And to on the topic keep
I should NOT sleep
I should be working
I should not even on this site be lurking.
For as mentioned before
In a poste of yore
Because i did let fun over work prevail
this day will be made of fail

Rymes I'm very bad at creating
Something which for I myself am despising
I start out with something I think is great
But I suspect failing is my destiny
So know this, and have sympathy for my plight
While I try to build up my poetic strength

But being a burly, brutal barbarian, born and bred in bitter blizzards,
warring weather whose woe wanes only when one wears wool,
alliteration is actually easy, as I aquired an amount of old instincts
native to the norse.

I should be making dinner...

While large websites are loading,
I guess I should be coding,
a project for school is not due
but tomorrow I will review with classmates the progress
I hate partner projects! (but now I digress)
If not that I should be asleep
(dreaming of electrical sheep)
But alas these things sure can wait
to allow me to procrastinate.

So, I got tired of the fact that the appearance of my band name in my signature made my posts on this forum the dominant result when googling for my music. Anyway, if you think I might happen to be a good musician, you can test this theory here.

Should be preparing for a test -
Fortunately, with snow we are now blessed.

Which means more time for me today

The beginning of all this rhyming stuff
Was at the hands of the poster ThorFluff.
But no matter for better or for worse,
All our posts are now in this rhyming verse.
Though some lines are worse, rather than better,
My words are iambic pentameter.

I here address all who would listen:
With lowbrow verse, a lot you're missing.
Though writing poems well is hard,
Try not to write your rhymes so jarred.
With just a bit of extra trying,
Your verse could end up stupefying.
Well, no, that's far too optimist.
But, still, good writing does get missed.

You need not pay me too much heed.
Poetics aren't, for me, a need
So I read prose much more, instead;
The rules of verse absent my head.

But now in here at last I'll fly
Or be, at least, ridiculous.

At times I do find it hard to find
The rhymes which would
Describe that which should
Be on my mind
But I still leave what little there be
For you all to see
Even if you don't appriciate
Ever last one of them
I do hope you do not hate
The trend that from my rhyme did stem.

for english class i should be reading
although web browsing this is not speeding
the book, on structure of argument
which, although dry, i do consent
presents quite many a valid point
through writing clean, without disjoint
with pages thin and covers glossy
the stone of my mind soon grows less mossy
and so after this poetic turn
to my homework i do adjourn
and after that, prob'ly to bed
although its sleep, i sometimes dread
so i might stay awake a minute
and read said book, with long words in it

EDIT for ninjage:
i for one dont mind thorfluffs intent
to fill this thread with rhyme content
i think the change is quite unique
and adds to each post a certain mystique
it also forces out some thought
so that some posts, are not for naught
Truth be told/If I can be so bold/Your sig did inspire/What here did transpire/So that you would me admire/cause me to aspire/to greater heights/of lyrical plights.

As sad as this may seem
In my own eyes i do deem
This very threads current content
To be my greatest accomplishment
Though many may say it should be my work
My friends, paintings or apartment
The feeling in my mind still lurk
That to inspire others to create
Is something I wish to be my fate
For it fills me with pride
That this hasn't died
And I hope that in the end
That someone this does send
And that it does arrive
At some old archive

I have resisted the urge until now
(it was hard but I did it somehow!)
To add this here thread
To the things often read;
I must be selective in what I allow.

The reason for my hesitation
Is a simple mathematical equation
The time I have free
And things on the fora to see
Are unequal in their relation!

The answer to the original query
Is so constant as to make me weary:
I should be working,
Instead of lurking.
Well, at least that is the theory.

However; I find it amusing
The approach many posters are using
So in I chime
With my little rhyme
And a prayer for productivity I'm losing.

That was indeed a sight to be hold
Limericks, and five fold!
I should find something to top that
A rhyme, quickly Stat!
I think I fail, truth be told
