It is :D It weighs about 2.5lbs with the lens. And that's with a fairly light lens. The body weighs about a pound and a half.

So, Jaque, the color of the wall behind you matched the color of the post's background really closely. Made it look like you were leaning outside of the border of the photo, and made me second-take pretty hard. And yes, you do look like an old timey strong man.

I finished my scarf! And hat! Made from homespun pure Angora wool ^.^ And I cannot read directions very easily for crochet patterns, so I just looked at a lot of pictures for the hat and then made it up on my own! Didn't turn out too horrible, I think! (Scarfs are easy, no pattern needed for that! heh)

Shorn or plucked, depending, yes. I'm not sure which method Lisa uses, depends on the animal usually (if it's loose enough, pluck, if not, sheer). Hand spun then plied. : ) Colors in there are: French Angora: white, fawn, cream, chocolate agouti, lilac, blue and Satin Angora: red, chocolate agouti.
