I had a shitty day at work so I bought myself a present. New gloves! Also a new haircolour but you can't really see it in this light.

Pretty gloves, Moo!
Also, completely unrelated, but I think your glasses really suit you; the shape of the frame just goes really well with your face shape. I don't really know how to describe the 'oooh, pretty' moment that happened when I saw but clearly I felt strongly enough to ramble about it and I'm sorry I'll be quiet now.

That's a very appropriate real-life caption for that pic. Things like that should happen more often.

Hendusoone and I went to San Francisco for the meetup, and for vacation! I didn't really take pictures at the meetup, but I have loads from vacation. (Warning: very picture heavy!)
Spoiler:
There were rainbow flags all the way down Market Street for Pride!
sf 009.jpg

We went to the zoo and saw tons of awesome animals, including giraffes.
sf 118.jpg

We went to the Academy of Science, where I was almost attacked by a giant sea bass.
sf 316.jpg

We went to the Exploratorium, which has amazing hands-on exhibits on the science of motion, perception, and other generally REALLY COOL things. This is dry ice.
sf 338.jpg

And this is the origin of my new avatar photo, taken in a light booth.
sf 349.jpg

We biked across the Golden Gate to Sausalito on a tandem bike!
sf 369.jpg

Then we went to Alcatraz. This is hendu standing forlornly in the rec yard where prisoners got to go, like, once a week.
sf 394.jpg

I wanted to bring home some of the turtle-shaped sourdough bread that they sell at Boudin Bakery, so we got some.
sf 418.jpg

Then we nommed its limbs.
sf 420.jpg

But they were delicious!
sf 421.jpg
We also went to the Aquarium of the Bay, Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, Alcatraz, and Coit Tower. We took a short cruise around the bay, saw the Pacific Ocean, took a bunch of cable cars... basically I think we did almost everything that San Francisco had to offer :) It was a great trip!

Truthfully I was a bit freaked. Moreso at the steep downhill to Sausalito. I am not good with hills and hendu was in front and had all the steering/braking power so he took them much faster than I would have. But going over the bridge wasn't too bad, besides being very close to the rail when someone else was passing us, but we weren't the ones on the water-side.

The blue hue makes that picture look cool, I agree with TaintedDeity. lanicita, the dry ice and red-blue-face pictures are like woah... The one with the giraffe in the background looks more like a normal vacation photo, but it is nice too. Jacque and CosmicFugue, it would be wrong if you didn't get any comments. You both look good in those photos.
