Thank you, though it's only because I'm too lazy to shave more than twice a week. Not sure I agree about looking like Ben Affleck, always saw myself as some strange offspring of Woody Allen and Adrien Brody.

Man, I hear you on the shaving twice a week bit. It's such a drag.

I only work weekends and my face-scruff is only a problem in my casual life of my undercuts are freshly shaved an my face isn't, so I usually just do both on Friday night. Once a week shaving for me!

The main reason I grew a beard was because I didn't feel like shaving. I mean, I should really shave the neck-beard part, but... meh.

I should grow a beard because shaving is a painful chore these days. My face flakes at the slightest provocation, and going anywhere near it with a razor causes instant uber-rash that makes me look like I already have a beard. A bright red beard made of pain.

The first thing I'm going to do when I get out of the military is let all my hair (scalp and facial) grow out for a while. I'm going to look like a desert island castaway, but it'll be worth it.

I think a lot of us do that. I know my first act on being discharged was to grow a goatee and let my hair grow out.

Well, I used to have much longer hair before I was in the military. Not enough to, say, put in a pony tail, but it was fairly long for a male, I suppose. The first several months I was in the military, I really hated having short hair. It's not so bad anymore.

I once sported a goatee and 'tache.

It looked terrible, but being 19 years old at the time, I thought it looked good. And nobody corrected my obvious misconception. Gits. I have decided now that if I am ever to grow a beard, it will have to be a full one like the one in my av.

Currently, I have stubble. Theoretically I could simply refrain from shaving, and thus acquire a Big Bushy Brian Blessed Beard. But every time I try, it gets to an intermediate point where it looks nasty and I'm forced to shave it off.

Ok, low quality, largeish pics incoming.

Introducing Inquisitor Lord Dexter Atellus.
These are work-in-progress shots, taken because I wanted to test the camera on my iPod Touch. I still need to do the detail work (insignia and so on), but I think the major pieces are there. I just need to decide what sort of hat - if any - to add to it.

Not visible: All three underlayers (making it pretty warm...), and my shoulder holstered stubgun (currently unpainted). I'm working on a laspistol, but can't figure out where to holster it without making an ugly bulge somewhere. I may have to add a belt over the overcoat.

This is me and my 3 best friends. Super-awesome-epic-best-friend-whom-I-consider-a-brother is on the far left, the other two are just extremely pleasant people I can talk to and who's company I enjoy alot. I would be the person second from the right.
Also, we're topless because we were playing a game where we would slap each other on a spot chosen by the hitee (but chosing a spot like your lower back resulted in more glory... or something? I don't know, we were halfway our second crate of beer here, I think), and then hit back. Ehmm... right.
Oh, yeah, this could be considered unsafe for work.
