My fiance and I just got back from a 9 day cruise. :D We got professional photos taken, and my scanner is being craptastic, so I opted to take a picture of them with my digital camera. It came out better than expected, but I'll get better quality ones up as soon as I can. More to come as everyone who was on the cruise with us sends the pictures to the communal photobucket account.

Time to see if I have a shot in hell at catching up with 9 days worth of posting. o_o

And XKCD continues is march towards being hands down the most attractive community on the internet. Honestly, there needs to be an xkcd shirt made about this subject.

I'm not implying that the XKCD community is ugly but  lol

All the proud men turned to dust.

I'm imagining the "New character art" comic done as a photomosaic of all of our pics, and the phrase "I'd hit it... with SCIENCE." printed on the reverse... or some such nonsense...

We had a fantastic time. :) We missed a port, though, because the winds were too strong and the tenders we would have had to take to shore never would have made it. And thank you, Akula. :)

Fun fact: In both pictures, that's me with a "tan." I don't think I can even call that a tan, regardless of the days spent out in the sun. I think I can safely say that I acquired a skin tone, and that's about it. o_o

Cara, that has to be the best ID photo I've ever seen. Every single one of my ID's has me caught mid-expression. :( Plus, your hair is beautiful.

Ice cream formal social?! Sign me up!

Edited, because I can't tell the difference between a formal and a social. And to mention Cara's hair.

Yes, it's at least that wonderful.

Thanks Kineticka and Aliso, I was having a good hair/face (makeup) day, rare to have the two coincide.

However, I much want to hear more of this ice-cream event that requires evening attire, though.

Ah, so it is as wonderful as it sounds, then. Although, knowing me, I'd end up wearing a cream silk and chocolate sauce covered dress by the night's end.

Here's a group picture. See if you can find the XKCD forum people hidden in it! There are six including myself. This will not be an easy task, especially since one of us is only about 3% visible.
Image

The premise of the event is that Max (the host) thought it would be a funny thing to do and decided to name it after John (second row, blue tie) who I don't think was even involved in the conversation. Because this is also a funny thing to do. The rules are you dress up or you get mocked.
