BEER!I'm sorry, but this was the only part of your post that I could actually read.

Next weekend (april 5th?) I'll be up at UNT for the comp and then back in Dallas that night for drinking and general rabble-rousing.

The weekend of the 12th is (I believe) the Baylor Bear Climb, and I'll be down there for that on Saturday. When are you getting into town, how long are you staying, where are you staying?

Just realized it might feel a bit awkward leaving all the information on a searchable message board. PM me if you want.

I'm upset there was no "after" image with a.) an empty pitcher, and b.) you sprawled out under the table with a foamy beer moustache.

Also, if there were a few "during" shots, we could have made a nifty flick-book.

Are you really that much taller then them, or is it just because you're in the foreground? You look like a giant in comparison. Also, where in Iraq was this taken? Also also, hope you stay safe.

Part of it is perspective, although those two guys are both pretty short. I'm about 6'2", they are both around 5'6" max. The 'terp is around 6' or so.

I'm at Forward Operating Base Warrior, outside of Kirkuk, Iraq. That's in the northern part of the country, maybe about 100 miles north of Baghdad (I think - I've never been there, it's a two day + drive from here). Kirkuk is on the southern edge of the region controlled by the Kurds, and relatively peaceful (relatively being a key term.) Thanks for the god luck

Well, you have to drive really slowly to spot the IEDs, plus you're constantly stopping for security halts, to drain all that hydration water, checking out suspicious people - it takes forever to get anywhere.

it was amazing, especially old city!
also, it didn't hurt that the exchange rate was a lot better than that of germany :D

aetherson, the erm was just me being hesitant. The sculpture is actually of some dog (I don't know the exact name..) that supposedly grants good luck if you touch it with your left hand. Though come to think of it, I'm sure a bronze relief of an "erm" would be a lot more interesting.

You get 1800 argyl3 points for saying that. Don't forget NOFX and AFI and all that fun stuff.

So, my Girl got back from her six months in Italy, and we'd agreed that should wouldn't dye her hair until I'd seen what had grown out, as I'd never seen her natural colour before. She was hesitant, as she's not very fond of it (a bland no-man's-land between blond & brown), so she made me agree to shave, as she'd never seen me in that state. She dyed again the day after, but balked at my shaving (she appreciates a good beard). To be fair, I had to go through with it. Results:
