That yellowy light DOES look terrific, digitalc. And once again, the amount of pretty girls in this thread is reaching dangerous levels.
Most people would post something witty, humourous, or perhaps offensive in their signature. Unfortunately, you won't find anything like this here.

There are pictures of them on the internet. On DeviantArt. If you have one of those and are willing to go looking. I posted the link on here.... sometime.

And Denby, they're only cuddly cause they won't stop getting BIGGER.

Care to tell us a bit about it?
Spoiler:
It was awesome. It's really good for shopping (which I am a big fan of) because they have the mall of the Emirates, which is the only place I know where you can ski in the middle of the desert, and the Dubai mall which would probably take about 2 or 3 days to look round properly. There are the souks in the older part of Dubai which are more traditional. You get to haggle (or get other people to haggle for you) which is good fun, but when we went it was extremely busy and I only felt safe when I was walking next to at least 2 guys because there was quite a bit of staring going on. It's really hot at this time of year and I don't cope too well with the heat so if I was going again it'd probably be in the Spring/Autumn when it's not quite as hot.

I'm not entirely sure what accommodation's like because Lolsaur's dad lives out there and we stayed with him. I would also strongly advise against trying to rent a car or taking the bus when you're out there because the roads are crazy. We got a taxi back one day with the angriest taxi driver in the world where I was just glad to get out in one piece but generally the taxis are pretty good and they're not too expensive either.

The worst, well maybe not worst, but definitely the hardest, thing for me was the fact that you are not supposed to be physically affectionate with other people in public. So that meant no kisses or hugs or even holding hands in public (although on our short holiday within a holiday to Oman we did get caught dancing outside the back of our room by a security guard and he just smiled at us and kept walking).

No matter what kind of food you like you will find something to eat there. The restaurants aimed at tourists are probably about the same price as eating in the UK (not sure about the rest of the world) but if you go to more local places you can eat for really cheap (we got sandwiches and bottles of water for 7 people for about £5 one lunch time). If you're buying your own food it is advisable to avoid the Carrefour at the weekend as it the most stressful supermarket shopping I have ever done. We ended up leaving without buying everything because you couldn't move without bumping in to somebody and everyone seemed to be in a rush.

All the new buildings are really pretty at night and they all look so impressive because Dubai seems to really have a whole "bigger is better" thing. They now have the tallest building in the world (the Burj Dubai) which is about half a mile high. It doesn't look very tall when you drive past it, but when you get close up you realise it's actually about 3 times as tall as any of the normal sky scrapers around it and that it is impossible to fit the whole thing in one picture. I really recommend going to visit the Dubai mall some time between 6pm and 11pm because not only will you get to see the Burj Dubai all lit up and impressive looking, but they have musical fountains which play twice an hour between 6 and 8 and three times a hour between 8 and 11. They're probably my favourite thing about the holiday.

I'm not really sure what else to tell you, so here are some more pictures.

I could have been in a picture with Batman and the Joker and that would have made me even more happy, but there was a security guard next to that one and he was already giving us funny looks.
