Warpath is an old username I've been using for the past 7 years on various things.

Exit stage left, i am into theatre, technical theatre to be more specific.. I feel it is more suitable than my old name of confusedwyvern (created it in high school)
I also think that exit stage left rolls of the tongue better than exit stage right, however its apparently not an entirely original name and not available on everything (like xbox live)

Title of a Sylvia Plath poem which I hugely relate to. Upon reading it (from what was the only book of poems printed in her lifetime) I wrote notes on every line and every metaphor, scribbling in the margins my thoughts and feelings on what was resonating so clearly... I guess it's stuck with me

Well, my origional internet name was pretty stupid, Silenthobo1234.
I origionally wanted to be called Dr.Hobo but it was taken so I tried Silenthobo and when that was taken I added 1234 to the end and got it. I kept it for about a year and a half but a few months ago I saw the pic of my avatar and decided that I wanted it for an avatar. So since then I've been Box Boy.

I used to use my school-nickname, Snoz Crout, but I didn't like the way it looked written down. I got inspired by Less Than Jake's Pezcore and started using it on cs:s, and it went from there.

I like the way it looks written down, and it's easy to shorten to Pez. It's only annoying when people try to make a funny and repeatedly ask me for candy, or if my neck bends backwards.

Well... whenever I attempt to use a creative/interesting/clever username, I decide that I hate it shortly thereafter and either have to make a new account or just... tolerate it. By using my actual name, I avoid that and I think it makes me appear a little more sensible/mature/straightforward, although boring.

I feel the same way, and luckily my name is usually rare enough that the username is not taken. Sometimes I add the first letter of my last name, if I have to. My e-mail address is also just my name. I think it also looks more professional when dealing with job-related stuff.

I should really set up a name based email address for work stuff and to put on application forms and things... On the other hand it was realy funny when I was applying for universities and they'd send mass emails about open days. There's be all these serious email addresses and then justalittleteapot in the middle of them all. It was pretty awesome.

I made a <initials><lastname> address which forwarded to my regular address because I didn't want to set another account up in thunderbird (I have a +3 lazy bonus). Need to be very careful when replying to official-esque email.s

I made a new email address when I was applying to uni...ended up having to be firstnamemiddleinitiallastname, because every other shorter variation I tried was taken...though I also have my uni email now, which is c.m.lastname, so I can use that as well if I want to look better...

I cycled through my share of silly pre-teen nicknames, then settled for two entirely made-up ones that I like and am absolutely certain will be free.
One is crinury, which refers to my deceased grandfather's favorite color - in Romanian, he called it "crinuriu", a sort of dark purple. I started using it as my nickname on Age of Empires when I played at home against my brother, then I applied it to various emails and online accounts. Second is stelei, also from Romanian: it means "of/to the star". I came up with it recently, and feel it's the best so far: it's short, easy to pronounce, and most importantly refers to astronomy. And it's pretty!

I picked the name when I was first starting to play Warhammer (many moons ago) and needed a name for my general, 5 minutes of going through the glossary for Lord of the Rings and I found the name and a cool character (who I missed in the films), when I first started browsing forums and the like a while later I took up the name as my own and have used it ever since.

It has the added bonus of hiding me from most search engines when people try googling me to find out what I am signed up for.

My tutor spelled my name wrong on an form he was filling in last year. I was called it for about a day afterwards until everybody forgot. I liked it though so I always use it for a username now. The good thing is that it is never taken.

I was trying to get a hotmail account back when there were no usernames left.
GeRC comes from my intials with the added "e" to make it prouncable (to my knowledge of phonetcis "ge" make "je" making it "jerk," but most people say it as "gurk").
That alone was taken, so I added my favourite number at the time.
That too was taken, so I used underscore, a word no one will ever bother writing out. Hence I can use the same name anywhere that allows fifteen characters.

In the Strong Bad Email "technology", Strong bad said about e-mail addresses:
Just take your favorite hobby, add kid, grrl, pie or izzle, and put a bunch of numbers at the end!

I used videogamesizzle53846 (My name in phone numbers) for Xanga back when I did that, and the name just kinda stayed with me. I kinda like it. Nobody else uses it, so it works.

(I hope they allow hotlinking...)

I was working as a labourer at a window factory a couple of years back, and, being the type of job and stereotypical Aussie weather, I wore a lot of singlets. My cow-orkers discovered that I have an unnatural amount of bodyhair, and copped the nickname "Magilla". I've been using it ever since. Occasionally, it's already taken on whatever I'm signing up to, so I use "TehMagilla".

EDIT: I'm also undertall for my height, and generally oversized - size 12-14 shoes, XXL hands and a 46cm head make it difficult to find shoes, gloves and hats/helmets. Pack all of that into 6'0", and you get someone who resembles a gorilla.

Of course, you know what they say about people with big feet...

Following the deity/religious theme, Vohu Manah (translated from Avestan; Good Mind/Purpose) is one of the six amesha spentas in Zoroastrianism. The amesha spentas were created by the Wise Lord Ahura Mazda, to assist him in destroying evil. Vohu Manah is supposed to represent a good state of mind enabling you to accomplish your duties

I came up with it because of a question that I answered once for my sister. (Neopets, of all things. *runs screaming*). Basicially, the answer was to invert the first hundred two-digit segments of pi, and add them. When I figured it out I screamed "A Piece Of Pi!". Also, you know you're a geek when you know more digits of Pi then names of people in your class.

In an episode of The Simpsons from many years ago (when the Simpsons was still a good show), Milhouse buys a super-violent action video game named "Bonestorm". He attempts to enter his name into the profile menu as "Thrillhouse", but due to a character limit, the game shortened this to Thrillho. I'm thinking of getting an avatar that shows him in all his glory.

I don't hold any particular attachment to the name, its just that my regular name was taken, and I though this one was funny. I still chuckle every time I see it. I'm hilarious.

ThickNavyRain is an anagram of my real name. I'm really happy with it because, being an anagram, it's NEVER taken on any forum or website or email provider. Also, when I tell people or they figure it out, they generally think it's quite cool.

Before ThickNavyRain I used SQuiddy on MSN based on a really weird and nautical based superhero joke I had going with a friend of mind.

I prefer ThickNavyRain better though.

Originally it was Shredder. It came up when I used to make holes in my socks (not on purpose) everyday and my mom would ask if I was a shredder. I was about 10 or so.

I had spelled it Shr3dd3r on many occasions when I was new to the internet and one day decided to use random capitals like all of the cool people when I signed up for something (totally forgot what it was), but I had forgotten the second 3 (E). I liked it spelled the way it was (ShR3dDr) and after a few years of using it everywhere, I created an Xbox Live account with it, but that Xbox had died. I tried to create an account under just ShR3dDr again, but failed so I had just added 9000 after it.

tl;dr
I shredded socks.
