I'm 18 from... well, TX, MD and MI, I guess, lol.

So yeah. <3

Three states at once, and not even specifying a country?
The question then is if you have lived in three different staes, or if you have such a huge house that it spans through three states independantly?

That would be one helluva big house to stretch from TX to those states.

XD I live in the US of A.

Actually, I say that I am from 3 states, because when I was seven, I moved from Texas to Maryland. It was an okay transition, but I talked aobut Texas nonstop until the move from maryalnd to Michigan, where I came to realize how much Maryland meant to me (mostly becuase of friends) and started talking aobut Marlyand non-stop, with occasional refrences to Texas. I have lived in all three states almost equal times, if you add up the vacation time spent visitng family in MI while I lived in TX and MD.

TECHNICALLY, i was a Texas resident for 7 years, and a MD resident for 8 years.

So I feel I'm more of a product of those states, and I REALLY dislike saying hat I'm from MI. Cos in my mind, MI sucks...

...<_< I do plan on going to college in-state, though. Lol.

It's ME!

Dang, I never realized how scarily similar every here is to me until I saw this...Ghostwriter? MathNet? Bill Nye? That was the stuff of my youth!

Eh..nyway, I'm a 17er mathcomputermusicscience geek from Utah, USA (no, I'm not proud of it.) who occasionally enjoys inventing card games.

Oh, it's nothing. I just hate being lumped in with the rest of the reddest state of the union (no idiom intended).

And yes, Moab is gorgeous.

Being from Illinois and having visited both Michigan and Wisconsin several times, I think Michigan is way better than Wisconsin as a place to visit.

Then again, if places to live were judged by the same criteria as places to visit I would probably love living in California now (which I don't).

And sometimes, ya know, it's no criteria but how ya feel. Changing homes is not easy.

Moab - Slickrock trail. One heck of a bike ride, it kicked my butt. My Desktop, coincidentally.

Another one shyly enters the forums and feels the eyes of the members upon him. He is clearly a n00b here and he's self aware. Who is he? Why is he here? Why the look of unease on his face?

He's a young man of 19 years, in case you're wondering. His height is only exceeded by his slimness and he could nearly pass as a walking skeleton. As he paces forward into the thread, he introduces himself.

"Hello.", he says after clearing his throat. Everyone simply stares at him. "My name is Paul..." he continues "...but my Internets identity is called Silverbolt. I am from a small and obscure country in Eastern Europe called Romania. You may have heard of it and no. It is not in France."

"Are you a vampire?" Asks an inquisitive older member. The newcomer's eyes flare momentarily with anger.

"I loathe that stereotype, kind sir, and I would appreciate if you would leave your Stokerish delusions at home. I am not a vampire, and such creatures do not exist. If I were to say otherwise, I would be in direct violation of the Masquerade and..." he blushes "...but that's neither here nor there."

"Why are you here?" Asks someone from a corner.

"Well, my kind sir..." he replies "...I was linked to this comic several weeks ago by someone and became addicted instantly addicted. Then, out of sheer boredom I thought I could join the forums, because, given the nature of the comics, I was most likely to find many intelligent people here."

Someone shouts from the back: "What the hell are YOU doing here then?"

There is a sudden burst of laughter throughout the cyberspace and the newcomer can not help but smile and chuckle himself.

"That remains to be seen. At any rate, I hope this place is everything I hoped for and I would stay here, if you'll have me. One word of caution, though. My sanity is questionable, so be careful around me. You just might end up losing your own."

With that, the stranger steps in awaits for a response.

As far as I'm aware (and I like to think I'm pretty goddamn aware) there isn't one aside from the limits of your own good taste.

If you don't have those limits? Well...fuck. You'll probably know you've crossed a line when people start bitching about it.

If, on the other hand, it offends you, you're always free to disapprove or not read.

Edit: Aww. Lani beat me to the swear-laden answer.

Well, I don't have a curse problem, seeing how this isn't my native language and I can say fuck, shit, cock, bitch et cetera (especially "et cetera") without flinching for the most part. I don't overuse them, however, so...

Yeah. Fuck. No worries.

Cool.

I work at a women-run organisation for women and children who want to be safe from family violence. There's a 24 hour crisis line and over 50 safehouses throughout NZ. I'm the Children's Advocate so my job is to protect the children's rights and make sure they get listened to and get the services they need. As part of this I run a children's programme for kids who've experienced family violence. It's awesome.

The social change part is about women and children's fundamental right to live free of fear and family violence, which is rampant in NZ. Over half of the homicides in NZ are related to domestic violence. We work with the police and sometimes we even agree with eachother, which is always nice.

And ... yeah. We're also committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. which is New Zealand's seldom recognized, founding document (or treaty). This means we support the right of Maori (Native NZers) to be autonomous and self-governing - as promised in the treaty.

-End spiel-
