My Oliver, with boots and gloves (just fur coloring-- I would never!). He was so small when we adopted him at five months old! Three months later and he's gotten so big. :) :)

I'm surprised he let you live after that. Did you remember to check your shoes the next day before putting them on? The bed sheets weren't damp or smell funny that night, did they?

This is my corn snake, Sedona. She's a year and a half, and she is about 3 feet long. I had a better pic, but it wouldn't work for some reason.

Dawwwww.

... Is he being called Navi for short?

... Would that have anything to do with the blue tint in the fur?

Yes, he is sometimes being called Navi. But I should probably pick one and be more consistent so I don't confuse him.

I didn't even make the connection to the bit of blue in his fur, lol. I was trying to think of names from favorite books and movies, and most were either cliche (White Fang), the wrong gender (Millie from Ozy and Millie) or awkward to call out (as in pronounce, not as inappropriate). So I settled on Navidson.

Bonus content: His original name was Brando, which I hated because it reminded me of a character on that sitcom My Boys.

The only thing that "Brando" would remind me of is the actor Marlon Brando, who played Don Corleone in the first "Godfather" movie.

Her name is "Cricket". We think she's part American Staffordshire, or in layman's terms, a pit bull. My mom and I found her wandering around outside the local Hardee's (Carl Jr.'s for you west coasters) when we went through the drive-thru to get my dad a hamburger after we had eaten Chinese (he only likes Chinese food cooked at home, never from any restaurant). Both my mom and the drive-thru employee were worried sick about her, so when we pulled up to get our food, my mom got out of the car and coaxed her towards her. Cricket came and Mom loaded her up in the car. She's become fast friends with our other dog, Bud, and is learning that the cats are To Be Looked At, But Not Chased. She's learning quickly.

We think she may have jumped out of her previous owners' car, and ran off, with them unable to catch her. She had been going up to every car in the drive-thru, standing up on her hind legs against the driver's side, trying to find her owners. She's very sweet and affectionate, loves being petted. She wants so bad to be a lap dog, and will sneakily try to get in your lap, or up on the sofa. Whoever owned her before loved her very much. We tried finding her owners, but no luck.

Here she is with our other dog, Bud:

My first and only dog (requiescat in pace):

Idiot Dog - Copy.JPG

He was a bitsa that we rescued from the pound when I was in prep (between kindergarten and Grade 1), and originally he had a beautiful coat of golden-brown fur, and was so jumpy and playful. In this picture he was about nine years old; he lived to see twice that before we had to have him put down. He sat in that pot because it was filled with earth and in the sun, and so nice and warm.

Sorry to hear that yurell, I've been through that once before and it's rough. 18 is amazing for a dog though! He looks like he was a beautiful pup.

Yes, we did, and no, she wasn't. We took her to the local vet, and he checked to see if she was chipped, and he didn't recognize her as one of his patients. She's being treated for that mange on her legs - it's clearing up nicely.

Dexter is amazing. Look back at my other posts in this thread to see him from his best angle ;)

And yeah, Callum is seeming like he's going to fit in well. Only here on a temporary basis right now, but hopefully it'll be full time.

His owners are going to live in NZ and can't take him with them.

Sounds like my girlfriend and two of her family's four cats (one is her best friend, the other is his gay lover for when she's in class).

She's not actually mine, it's my flatmate's cat, but I get to play with her too. She's about 4 months old, and super playful, cuddly and cute! (too bad you can't see her eyes here, they're blue)

Behemoth, a year or two ago. She's actually quite a small cat but I didn't know how big she'd get when I named her as a kitten. Today she caught a blackbird :(.
That collar was bought, fitted, photographed and then promptly lost forever in a hedge all on the same day.

My wife likes to take pictures. She also likes Halloween. So she made a card of all of our little fuzzballs. And a rooster.

I don't know why the rooster is there, other than she had access to a rooster.

Clockwise from the Rooster - I forget the Rooster's name (Gary?), Moofin, Rodney, Chico, Woden, Padme.

Woden was the only one we named. He's also the largest one. Not in length. Dude's a butterball. Second largest is the rabbit.
