Haiku.

Postby Verysillyman » Fri Dec 01, 2006 3:49 pm UTC

Well, it seemed that it
was about time to make a
thread just for haiku.

I would have split up
the 'requests for the world' thread
but some were focussed.

This meant that really
it would be wrong to split them
so I started new thread.

If it's on topic,
post it elsewhere if you like,
else, keep them all here.

Fear not, Earthlings: though
space holds terrible secrets,
pushing will save you!

Listen not to the
shover robot! shoving is
our means to protect!

But in unison:
"Do you have stairs in your house?"
implore the robots.
One of these days my desk is going to collapse in the middle and all its weight will come down on my knee and tear my new fake ACL. It could be tomorrow. This is my concern.

OK, what? I ask
when I read that haiku that
makes no sense to me
I don't sing, I just shout. All. On. One. Note.

Indeed, it is odd.

That's my theory.

Perhaps it is yet
another story that we
are supposed to build?

is in the form of the best

the syllable count
of the word "that's" is unknown
is it one, or two?

if i had to guess
the robot haiku's about
pushing things down stairs

i live in a dorm
containing four flights of stairs
no elevator

My favorite haiku:

If I could have one,
My super power would be
To talk to lemurs.

But technically, you're supposed to have a contrast in the third line, so:

Outside it is cold
Winds blow, and temperatures drop
Sandwiches are neat!

It seems to me that everyone is simply writing 17 syllable sentences and then pressing the Enter key whenever the amount of syllables is up.

No, just having friends.
