I bought myself a new nighty today! It's pink and plaid-y. It's very boob-tastic though, so i don't know if pictures are a good idea.

Denby also dyed my hair a darker purple! Yay! *grin*

AAAAAAHH! I shouldn't be wigging out a bit but I am.

There was this about 1-1.5" long rubbery feeling fleshy piece of something in my pad this morning. It's sort of a possibly 'fleshy' pink and brown, I htink due to the dried blood or something and less than have an inch wide perhaps? It's weirding me out, and btw, I've never had sex so it can't be part of a baby. Would a picture help? I don't know..but it's weirding me out since I've never had anything so fleshy and rubber feeling come from my vagina before...

I get terrible cramps before something like that comes out. It never happened before I was on birth control, either.

Speaking of birth control, I am now off of the formulation that gave me migraines. Earlier this week, I had a migraine that was so bad I finally gave in and made myself throw up in hopes that it would help. It did, but it still hurt my head to throw up. Now I have a BC-free month until it's time to start a new type of pill.

Yeah, it's pretty normal for my periods, and I don't get cramps or anything. Probably just a big blood clot/tissue thing.

Well, my saga is pretty much over for now. I took the first set of abortion pills on Wednesday, drove home in awful awful heat conditions in a car with no AC (luckily my boyfriend was driving, I was too busy passing out on the passenger side), endured miserable nausea for Wednesday evening and most of Thursday before taking the final set of pills in the afternoon, then camped out on my neighbor's toilet (they have a cleaner, more pleasant, mold-free apartment) as I expelled bodily fluids from three different orifices all at once and clutched my heating pad for dear life as I underwent cramps the likes of which I haven't experienced since I was about 10.

Luckily I am surrounded by the best people in the world and they carried me through with love, patience, devotion, nutritious snacks, and pain pills when I demanded them.

I'm glad you're okay, podbay. And surrounded by people who understood, and took excellent care. Sucks to hear about the cramping, though, I'm shuddering at how bad the cramps must have been to induce vomiting.

@Isotope_238: I had bad cramps before it came too. No wonder, this was a good amount of tissue (or at least it seems so).

I do believe that Cytoplasm recently discovered one of the very uterine chunks that used to feature in the title of this thread, ages ago.
Unless stated otherwise, I do not care whether a statement, by itself, constitutes a persuasive political argument. I care whether it's true.

Just noticed that I was on 399, and thought I'd stick the 400th somewhere cool.

I get blood clots/tissue sometimes, although they aren't usually as big as that, it has happened in the past. I wouldn't say it's anything much to be worried about.

Major hugs for podbay though, that really doesn't sound fun. I'm glad you were with people who looked after you though.

Thanks for the hug,s everyone. :)

I think the abortion process was awful enough to be a good motivation to be even more careful in the future. Now all that's left to do is to wait for my uterus to finish bleeding out and keep taking my antibiotics.

In the meantime, I can eat whatever I want! Wheeeeee!

More huggles for Podbay... and fluffy cuddle blankies and hot-water bottles to cuddle up to and other lovely things like hot chocolate and slippers. Cause that sounds friggin awful. Actually, it's winter over here, so whilst all that stuff seems awesome to me it might be overkill for Podbay (I can't remember where you are Podbay and if it says it beneath your avatar then I can't see that once I'm already in the "post reply" bit!). Ah well.
I'm feeling just slightly nervous today because it's been a full week since I took my last hormonal pill and there's no sign of any Shark-Weeky stuff. It usually comes super-regularly on like, the 3rd day after I'm on the sugar ones? And I was expecting it to be particularly eager seeing as I ran 2-3 pill packets together. But I'm not too worried because if I was, well, preggers, it'd have to be at least 4-5 weeks already, and nothing else has felt even slightly out of the ordinary. I was considering staying off the hormonal ones a bit longer to see if it comes? It should eventually come if I do that, right? There's no risk in stopping the pill for a while because I'm in a LDR and won't be getting any for another 5 weeks.

I wouldn't go off the pill. I'd grab a pregnancy test, plasmic (or two!). They're cheap and easy and do not require juggling hormones. Though if you've skipped the last three packs of placebo pills, it certainly makes sense that you're not bleeding yet. If/when you start the pills again, you might end up spotting.

Cool, so you think that skipping the placebos could actually delay it? It hasn't usually in the past, but I'll happily go with that possibility! I bought a pregnancy test early last year when I had the maddest sore boobies and the like (which I'd never experienced in the past) and it was pretty expensive - but the issue may have been that I got it from a pharmacy, whereas the supermarket is apparently the place to go for cheaper ones. It may be a good idea to get a test to ease my mind, I've just suggested the possibility of an open relationship to my boyfriend (in full awareness that this could screw our relationship over, but I know he's looking at other girls with a bit more interest than just "she's hot"; and I really don't feel that "the grass is always greener" analogy should be his view on relationships after we've been together for 2 years, are doing long-distance, and are considering moving in together in 6 months time... I feel that, before heading toward life-long commitments with one-another we should both know that the grass isn't greener on the other side of the fence, or at next-door's farm, or even in the paddock down the road... you know?) - so yeh, it'd be a sucky time to be preggers, but heck, I've stressed out before over absolutely nothing and this feels like absolutely nothing so it should all be fine :)

skipping the placebos always messed with me and never the same way
sometimes i'd spot during the pills
sometimes i'd over flow when i did let Shark Week happen
sometimes i think my body gave up on periods intirely
take a test, and continue taking the pills as you should.

Hi Woman Thread!
I'm experiencing something weird, amazing and pretty cool: I got off my birth control pill on 27th February (right after finally finding out that my increasingly serious fucked-upness was all listed as side effects). From everything I'd heard and read, I expected my periods to come very sporadically, if at all, during the following months. However, they've since come every 27th of the month! At least the last three ones (no notes for the earlier ones) also started at the same time in the evening, and came with brutal cramps shortly afterwards that lasted for 1-2 hours - before and after that, there's no trouble whatsoever, so it's kinda worth it.
I love this, but WTF? My hormones check the calendar? I've never heard about anything like that. Have you?

Also, I've spent many hours reading this thread and I totally love you all. I was going to comment on many more things, but I can't think of any right now. Too busy being amazed at my body ;) I'm on Shark Week, and I feel completely fine. It's even a real one, not some withdrawal crap. This is awesome. No more fake hormons for me again, ever.
I've never been impressed by peer pressure, but here I suddenly feel like I should have a signature, too.

freakwood, when I get off hormonal birth control pills, I tend to be more regular than usual for 3-4 months. So it's possible that you'll become irregular again. But, if you went on BC when you were fairly young, it could be that your body has simply settled into regular periods during the time period you were on BC (therefore you might have been regular by now anyway). There are tons of different BC options, and you might very well eventually find hormonal birth control that works for you without giving you icky side effects, such as an IUD that releases hormones.

Cytoplasm, I love globs of soft endometrium during Shark Week, but that chunk of tissue looks really scary. It was amazing to see your posts nearly real-time (hurts a lot ... ugly chunk ... need to call my doctor ... doctor said no problem), and I'm glad it appears to be nothing serious. For future reference, dissecting things with your fingers (actually a reasonable way to perform what is called "blunt dissection") is a sciency thing that can be done with no tools except, depending on what you are dissecting, gloves.

podbaydoor, I'm so glad you're feeling better and you had the friends you needed to get through that. *Belated Hugs*

Hooray for the 6th straight week of Shark Week! :D .... I fuggin HATE endometriosis. D< *cue godzilla music and a rampage*

Mreh. Onto more important matters.

Heeeelp what do I do? D: in 21 days I'll be seeing my boy for the first time in 6 months, and we're going to spending 4-5 days at the ocean; my favorite place in the world. I don't think the bleeding is going to stop. Birth Control pills and Nuvaring make it worse (kinda like the little amounts of estrogen released are just provoking it, ya know?). Depo-Provera doesn't work unless I get 3 shots at once - and the doctor said that's out of the question, as it will eat my bones. :x I haven't had a baby so I can't get Mirena. Depo-Lupron costs $1500 a shot and I don't have medical insurance. ...I am out of non-ruined underwear. D:

I can deal with the pain. I have a years supply of vicodin and percoset at my command.

If you haven't guessed it yet, I want to be able to sex up my boy without horror movie grade mess afterwards. I also want to be able to go swimming in the ocean without attracting all the sharks within 5 miles. x.x What do I do? Any ladies here with the same problem as me that can offer advice? I know its sort of a silly reason, but 6 months is a long time. So is six weeks. :(

"So, why are you a fruit bat?"
"I dunno, healthier I guess."
"Well yeah, but 'I vant to suck your melons' just doesn't have the same ring to it."

Bathtub or shower sex and sex on red/black/dark towels.

Not relevant for immediate use, and I don't know about IUDs and endometriosis, but you can get IUDs without having a kid first. I know that Mirena's information booklet and website say "recommended for women who have had a child", but there are lots of doctors who will put IUDs in women who've never been pregnant. My sister has one, and she loves it, and I know there are women who've never been pregnant who have IUDs who post in this thread. You will have to shop around for a doctor who will do it, but you'll be shopping around for a doctor who puts in IUDs all of the time, and therefore is skilled and experienced with the procedure. It's not like you're shopping around for someone to do something that's medically a bad idea, you're shopping around for someone capable of doing a procedure that has slightly increased risk.

Enuja, but it's not even regular - the cycles are differently long, but always start at the same calendar day, that's what really amazes me.
And thanks, but no thanks @hormone stuff. It's deceiving my body. My body's not stupid. It was feeling bullshitted and gradually started to strike back. I actually had a very weird dream a few weeks before I stopped, which left me with the strong impression that my unconscious was trying to warn me about something, I just couldn't figure out what it was. When I realized how bad that pill was for me in so many ways, I also realized that that dream was a perfect metaphor for what was happening. I'm not going to play tricks on my body any longer, it just doesn't pay off in the long run.
I've never been impressed by peer pressure, but here I suddenly feel like I should have a signature, too.
