If I could name an em*O*tion

Postby chrispy1 » Sat Jul 14, 2007 2:32 am UTC

broken off from here (thanks Verysillyman!! Great idea.....)

If you could rename/combine/come up with the name for your own emotion/feeling/whatever, what would it be?

I'd have:
Frangry - Frustrated and Angry. Like, the person I'm explaining something to just doesn't get it because they're not listening, and I want to kick them in the shin. Hard.

Intelloopid - Someone who's pretending to be smarter than they are, but they're really dumb as snot. Usually ends up in me being Frangry.

Carry on my friends.

Smartfounded. When you know exactly what you want to say you just can't spit it out. That happens to me a lot, I could really use a word for it.

I think they call that pseudo-intellectual.

Me, I'd like to name that feeling I get when I'm all alone and looking into the sky. I shall call it Awesad.

I don't have a cute word, but is there an emotion where you're happiest when you're feeling depressed?

What's that feeling that you get when your just sick of someone?
Like, not anger, but it's a blankness like giving up.
Combine that with a feeling of relief, and you've got 'grish'. That's what me and my friends call it, it's our own personal emotion.

Emo? Jk.
Hapressed perhaps?

Frexited. When you are Frightened and Exited. Probably already a word for it but meh.
Like on Gears of War when you have to beat the Berserker but to do it you have to run away from it and you can't see behind you but you know it'll be coming any second. Ahhh I love it.

Bobagry - when you have an inexplicable, insatiable desire for boba (sweetened tapioca - in this case, in the context of bubble tea. Damnit, now I"m bobagry.)

Being bobagry defined my senior year of high school, I think.

That is a really good one. I shall, in fact, teach myself enough Lojban to properly express it.

And another one would be the feeling of sitting outside, in a rainstorm, under cover, on a warm night, with a drink (and possibly companionship). I think Rainsome should be an appropriate start.

sangrity (san-gri(rymthing with cry)-eh-tee) - angry at peoples stupidity, pity at the mindset which leads to it, sadness and the inability to make a big difference to change it.

Deprief - the feeling you get when a loved one who's been clinging to life finally lets go. Sad to see them go, relieved that they're no longer hurting.

Whastabajalab - The emotion felt when you, in your random internet wanderings, find pornography of that cute whatever who lives down the road/works in the next office/whatever

Innoburn - What happens when you realize just how depraved some humans really are.

I don't have a cute word, but is there an emotion where you're happiest when you're feeling depressed?
