Electrical Engineer Requested:

Postby alexriehl » Mon Jan 30, 2012 10:34 pm UTC

Hi,

I need to interview a working electrical engineer for a school project (related to Project Lead the Way; the class is Principles of Engineering).

This "interview" could be fairly well conducted via forum. I need to turn in the final product on Feb. 10.
If this should go somewhere other then general, sorry Mods!

I need the following information, (PM is cool):

Interviewee name:
Specific college degree:
Place of employment:
Email address/phone:

and answers to these questions:

1. Please describe your engineering field.
2. What is your current job title?
3. Please describe your particular job and duties.
4. What is your average work schedule.
5. Starting with high school, describe your educational background chronologically.
6. If you had to do it over (as related to your career/education), would you do anything differently?
7. What advice would you give to me as someone interested in pursuing a career path similar to yours?

Thanks!

I'm planning to start a degree in electrical/electronics engineering next year. Ask me again in six years' time and I might be able to help.

I can help you out, I'll shoot you a PM with the requested answers.

I was excited when I saw this at first, thinking I could be useful... but then I realized I'm can't, because I have yet to get employment as an EE, so I basically can't answer any of the questions.

My degree is in computer engineering, but I design, test, & install SCADA systems for power utility companies. So I'm a little EE and a little Comp Sci. If that's close enough I'd be happy to help.
