"Britney shot spear uncensored vagina."

I liked that one. It motivates me to end every sentence I formulate with vagina.

good idea for a thread.

I like the pay-day loan one, with the last poll option being "I'm Muslim"

When I saw this thread, I immediately thought it was some topic on characteristics of spam, like several locked topics in site/forum issues... but evidently not. As has been said, good idea for a topic.
I'll be back when I have somehting to contribute.

I love the way that on the V14GR4 spam emails, they always promise to send the pills in discrete packaging.

Does that mean that they wrap up and mail each pill seperately?

Hmm, one that's just appeared:
nude video and photo Lindsay Lohan

The spambot used the  emote, evidently they think that it looks that little bit more human...?

Of course! I'm human! Honest!

There's now one that says "kings island spike lee." I simply had to click on it in order to find out what the hell this person could be talking about.

I know I shouldn't have, but a reply'd already been made, and I wanted to see if anyone else had.

Goddamn it, no replying, no voting on polls, just ignore spam completely! Is that so hard?

... I still want to know why I'm Muslim was a separate option, though.

Please don't take it out on me... I know I shouldn't have voted, but
A) the damage was done, some unsuspecting poster had replied
B) 'Muslim' was funny, as we all agree
C) Does voting in a poll count as a post?

A) Irrelevant if someone else did it.
B) .. yeah, it was.
C) actually, I have no idea, but I'd assume so. Really, you'd have to ask.. I dunno.. Belial or something. That craft rapt.. human.

Vote in the polls if you feel like it. But the average life-span for a spam thread is a few minutes at most, so why bother?

Right, thanks, so I did no major harm. Why not keep this topic as a place to preserve funny spam, in the form of the screenshot?

A: It's spam. Leave it alone. Don't post in the threads! I'm not a mod but it annoys me anyway :P
B: It is the low point of humanity, and not in one of those ways that could be considered artistic.

That's been suggested before and as this thread is barely surviving as it is, please don't bother. If you feel like talking about spam fine*, but do we really need screen shots?

I didn't mind the payday loan one all that much. I would have enjoyed seeing it turn around to a constructive discussion on the possibility of reform in the short-term loan industry.

But then it would have to have been posted in the Serious forum. And who goes over there, anyways?

There was one thread titled with something about boys, and I looked and it had 15 replies, so I clicked it.. and it was a bunch of gay porn. Turns out, the post under it had 15 replies, and I just don't see good.

The one about Ashley Tisdale's nipple, part of which I sig'd for a while. I don't know who Ashley Tisdale is (I assume a celebrity), but the way it was written was quite funny. Also (a long time ago) teh one where the spambot asked you to buy his product because his friend Catherine was hungry and he needed money to buy it food.

Sie leben nur einmal - warum dann nicht was neues ausprobieren?

Preise die keine Konkurrenz kennen

- keine versteckte Kosten
- Kostenlose, arztliche Telefon-Beratung
- Bequem und diskret online bestellen.
- Diskrete Verpackung und Zahlung
- Kein peinlicher Arztbesuch erforderlich
- Kein langes Warten - Auslieferung innerhalb von 2-3 Tagen
- Visa verifizierter Onlineshop

Originalmedikamente
Cialis 10 Pack. 27,00 Euro
Viagra 10 Pack. 21,00 Euro

Nur fur kurze Zeit - vier Pillen umsonst erhalten

Stuff like this is pretty fun, trying to work out what it means. I originally read it as a ten pack of Cialis cost twenty-seven thousand Euros. Does anyone here speak Dutch, or whatever this is?

German.

The thread title is:

You live only once--or?

Body:

You live only once--why not try out what's new?

Prices that no competition has

-No hidden costs
-Cheap, doctor telephone-advice
-Convenient and discreet online sales
-Discreet packaging and billing
-No awkward doctor's visits
-No long wait--usually between 2-3 days

Original prescription

cialis 10 pack 27 euro
viagra 10 pack 21 euro

Only for a short time -- four pills free of charge!

EDIT: I took up to german 3 in high school, and then two more years of it in college. I'm nowhere near fluent, but i didn't have to look up that many of those words. Yes, I have no life. It's a Saturday night and i'm translating german spam messages into english.

Oh yeah, Deutschland is Germany eh.
"Price that no competition has" sounds a bit wrong.

And it's sunday afternoon here, and I'm on the fora asking people what spam means. Hey, here's an idea! I'll race you to Monday!

My standard answer to all spambot threads is:

Hmm, interesting one just appeared...
It's probably gone by the time you read this, but the post was advertising everything that might be of interest, with a miserable attempt at looking like a non-english speaker had come up with it (or just random web clippings).
Anyway, it was laid out with a bit of text, loads of links, then more text. And every link went to the same place (I don't really care what the address was). They all addressed to "http://site.com", apart from one, which was to "http://www.site.com". I'm not sure if it's anything important about spambots (or even if it's interesting to any of you), but it's something I noticed.

True, because it's not preached. Like Hell, it's probably seen as bad for the Church, so has been discontinued. I'm fairly sure some pope's abolished the need to not pay or earn interest, but I've not looked it up.
