I think I will. I am just experimenting at the moment! The only things I can do in Photoshop are resizing and hue/saturation. :P I wanted to see if I could make it kind of... brooding. But I will also see maybe I want to keep it cheerful! I like playing with things.

When you open the third in photoshop, you might notice that the entire image is semitransparent. I kinda stuffed up and saved a .png with two layers, so the transparency wasn't preserved. When I opened it and turned white to alpha, it turned every pixel with some degree of white semitransparent.

edit: it did, better than i'd hoped! go learning how to do transparency! (yes i know it's just ticking the box at the start, but hey, it's still my first one)

MSPaintshop is possibly the best image manipulation program in existence. The only thing holding me back from moving wholley to Linux. It's so sad :( See here for proof.

Also, you can download The GIMPfor free. It is a photoshop replacement. It may not have every feature photoshop has, but for the price, you can't ask for much more. Also, if you haven't used photoshop before you won't be able to tell the difference anyway!

(NOTE:The GIMP requires that you have GTK+2 installed (dependency). If you don't know what this means, don't worry. If you install GAIM (open source instant messenger client), GTK+2 will be installed automatically.)

Thanks! And, I'm using the GIMP actually. Well really I knocked this up in Paint and then edited the two layers together in GIMP.

I don't really know, actually. I just kinda pass out and when I wake up it's done. And I often find a human heart clutched in my hand....

All you have to do it make your animation, still-by-still, in paint. Then save them all to a folder with names like "1", "2, and "3", to remind you of the order. Open number one in GIMP or PS, and then go to file>open as layer, and open number two. Repeat as necessary. Then save as yourname.gif, and some pop-ups will come up. DON"T export to grayscale and DO save as animation. It should be done now.

Astounding.

But couldn't you just make the original layers in GIMP too? Save a step?

I suppose, I just find Paint easier for small jobbies. I did Verysillyman's X-Mas pic entirely in Paint, aside from the changing of his shirt's color.

I don't think they are naked, so much as "appearing in a manner suggestive of nudity" is how I would put it.

Then again, I like to be pedantic, from time to time, of course.

Oh no, some of them are naked. Some may just be shirtless but then some just decided "hey let's be naked on the internet" and that is usually a bad decision to make.

I did that in paint! Not saying it is fantastic (because it is pretty poor) but it does say it is possible!
