I have a Windows 7 remote machine that runs on a network not connected to mine (e.g. on a cloud service).
I have no problem Remote Desktop into it from my Mac machine using the remote machine's IP address.
However, I cannot do any samba shares (i..e CMD+K to smb://ipaddress) does not work, even after I shared the folders.
I've done this before for Windows machines on the same network.
Since I can Remote Desktop in, there is no reason I can't share a folder.
What do I need to do to enable this sharing across networks?
How to enable samba file shares for Windows 7?
