XKCD - KDE4 Comic Strip plugin

As the subject line would suggest, I normally look at XKCD with the standard Comic Strip widget in KDE. Until about a fortnight ago, I was able to see the alt-text by waving my cursor over the widget - now I can't, it doesn't show up . Has anyone else noticed this, or did I just inadvertently poke some setting? If it is a regression in the XKCD plugin, does anyone know why, and/or have a workaround?
