Yes. I can do any idol at 50 strength, provided I have the materials to work with. As I've never gotten my hands on Lithosnow, I've never built one. I have the other materials (statuette and effigy) to build a total of 3 strength 50. There's parts to build 33s (15 could be built) in the guild Arch workshop too.

I've got several marble lumps on hand, I just prefer that they be replaced as I use them. Same as with the idol bits. Yes, I have an inventory...this means that if you're of the mind to gather the parts, I'll go ahead and build it now and let you send me the parts whenever. If you don't, then we'll work out a price on them.

But the Lithosnow lump (and Lanferite lump for Pior) are the two lumps of which I have zero inventory.

I also currently have zero Sair Statuettes in stock. So.. you can get one, or I can start the long process of IDing the crap I have, but it's gotta come from somewhere.

As far as Resins go, thanks to the Xiru Idol I made for myself, it's rare that I need to even break out the Strength 10 stuff. A Ghur 50, in the Guild Arch Factory? 3 Assembly. A 10 resin (the weakest there is, as far as I know) is all I need for that.

I got a bunch of lanferite lumps on my stonemason. Lithosnow blocks, not lumps. Also a bunch of parts from IDing; I'll check if u have the parts needed.

I'm convinced Commerce is how gold leaves the game. Market fees and recipes and expansions and other costs too, but mainly commerce.

Eh, the gold input to doing the Silk Fiber commerce thing in Hawkoria is fairly low. 2 Gold, 8 Standard, 2 Tribals and you get a minimum of 8 silk fibers.

Silk fibers appear to be worth a minimum of 1 gold per. Standard Agreements are variable in cost, but even at the high end they're 2 silver per. Tribals out of Borzem are a guaranteed minimum of 2 for 18 silver (and a max of 4, but whatever)

Basically, for 2 gold, 20 silver (assuming agreements on the high end), you get 8 gold of goods (assuming the low end).

Commerce is Overpowered. Nerf Now.

Is that 8g from other people or from vendors? Because if it's from other people, you gain six and the other person loses 8. Every transaction gold disappears.

From other people. Who generate their wealth by however they do it.

So yes, you gain 6 and someone else loses 8. They may have gotten that 8 from grinding in places like Old Cabin where a couple of lucky drops can have you walk out with 12 gold worth of vendor trash, which is wealth generated from nothing.

Concession expansion is a goldsink. Things like Transportation are a goldsink. Domain expansion is a huge goldsink.

Commerce? I don't think it's a goldsink, unless you aren't reselling the output, worked or not.

Commerce does remove gold from the system but those trade ins remove it in laughably small amounts. They're limited to once every 24 hours (or 18 or something).

The big sinks are probably domain expansion (2g per), domains themselves (175g for lanfar, 110g for hawkeria). Manor is 1000g but a one time fee. Delegations are a couple hundred gold. The new castle is 5000g. The new T4 like companions are 5000g (6500g for one of them). And of course the 5% market fee which is probably the biggest gold sink in the game by far.

Arright SecondTalon, sent you 5 marble lumps, some resin, and some random sair artifacts. Including one for a 50 idol or something. Any chance I could get 2-3 idols?

2.5% on list, 2.5% on sell. So 5%.

And nobody cares about the gold outflow in microeconomics. Maxine/SecondTalon is right, the silk trade in is amazing.

Even if Silk Fibers were 50 silver per, commerce for them just to resell would be worth it, as you'd double your input cash.

And merching isn't prevented by the 5% fee. Merching is prevented by the limited market slots and the relative value of BCs. You *can* buy your way to unlimited market slots, but extra companions, tool slots, weapon slots and even alts with the benefits you've bought are better purchases.

Unless you did it all when it was cheap, I bought up BC back when they were less than 2g per, made all that stuff pretty affordable.

Even then, that doesn't change that tools, weapons, and companions are better purchases. Even consumables are probably more useful to the player who isn't planning on doing heavy market trading.

...then again, if you are, unlimited market slots are going to be the most valuable thing you can get. Along with a caffeine IV to keep tabs on the market's movements. All to attempt to control the movement of a few commodities.

Probably not worth it. You'd have to ask Kyle.

I did some market playing back in the day on some building materials its much harder now too many people with massive alts farming stuff. But the unlimited market slots I find invaluable since I'll do ice lab or eli runs, back in the day, for a week or so then when I get some free time throw everything that isn't vendor trash up on the market, it takes vastly more than the 4 slots you get by standard. Honestly I think for beginning players its probably more valuable than weapons as the ranseurs stay pretty good until you get to the very top tier weapons, and until you get to the top tier bosses you are normally tanking with your hero not attacking with them. And really with the exception of 1 additional tool slot for an idol, the extra tool slots are really move of a convience factor more than anything, keeping you from searching your bags for your compass.

I spent my first 100 bc on two more companion slots, then unlocked market slots, and I don't regret it. Like you said the tool and weapon slots are convenience items mostly. My next purchase will likely be action queues for times I'm away for a long time, or want to make one each of a few things. That or the last two companions so I can have gathering going while fighting stuff (I never remember to put gatherers back when I'm done, or am too tired to.)

Have you tried Eufelburg? Constructed the emissary with rare wood. Should be a good region.

Confirmed. Acquired one Azulio Log after four turn-ins. Downside: Must maintain 52 Forest.

How are the other turn ins in Eufelburg? Do you still get reasonable amounts of Galandrite/Jutug?

Also unless I calculated wrong, you can only get around 20-25 in the house reputations without the turn ins. As such won't it take something stupid like 15 weeks of those 1 point turn ins before someone can get the 40 required to get the azulio cutting recipe? Also means that at around that 15 week mark Azulio prices will likely drop fairly quickly. So question becomes do we try to profit on that and liquidate the stock (while clearly sending back the azulio anyone sent me for them to liquidate) or just say fuck it and use what azulio we have to make the forge and be done with.

To the conversation about BC usage, the unlimited market slots are definitely valuable once you're farming dungeons like Ice lab and such. It also allows you to take advantage of people posting big stacks of items while you post individually. If someone has 20 domane ingots up at 11g each I can reasonably make more money per ingot by putting mine up at 13g each but as singletons instead. Not everyone needs 20 damane ingots all at once. Companions for your first BC purchases along with 1 tool slot for an idol is probably your best value. Market after that and then extra queue slots so you don't need to micromanage your alts as much. Eventually you'll want 2 more weapon slots too. After that it's more convenience. More tool slots and more bag slots. 4th weapon slot is completely pointless from what I can see so that's pretty much the only one you would never buy.

Ooh another source of soletto, that's interesting. Guess the 5 pieces from that quest aren't the only way to do it. Both gurdismo and salandrin are high enough so that you can learn the recipe. It's a shame though since I was saving the logs for the future fish festival. I guess I'll cut up some gurdismo tonight and try to learn the recipe. I can definitely make the 60 difficulty (since I did for the 60 solone trunk) and the shipyard machine is better than the winch there. I may need a small or medium potion, but I have a ton of those.

High furnace will be finished this morning sometime. I think someone (Fitz?) said that they'd cover the remaining towers so we're looking pretty good on the sandstone. My alt is still cutting more blocks for when we need them. I believe the furnace is 20 encumberance so I'm not sure if anyone else is actually able to transport that (I think I hit around 25 with my chimera and bracelet). Getting at least 15 transport would be useful so people can move the kryanite clusters. They take about 1 hour to get from the Den to our new factory location or 20 minutes with a horn. If you wanted to speed it up it would cost 3 BC to move one and then the cost per cluster decreases with the minimum being about 14 BC for 11 clusters moved (3 for the horn and then 11 speedups of 20 minutes each). Considering the value of krya stuff that isn't terrible.

Tested Soletto. Feels bad for it.

Short version: Best for Desert and Fame in construction. Ties Azulio in Fortification. Yields a good all-around shield (41/39/40 with Wyvern Leather).

Loses to or ties Azulio in almost everything else. Could create Urban or Leadership jewelry with it instead of Azulio. Misses Azulio's good rigidity, unfortunately.

Note1: Did not check bows or Bookcase. Predicts another loss to Azulio in bows, based on weaker rigidity and lower Piercing on stakes. Bets similarly for Bookcase.

Note2: Almost won Hoist by one. Tried with better materials. Equaled Azulio and Salandrin. Moral: May see different results (+/- 1) with different materials. Applies to Xuran and Jutug tests too. Usually checked better materials with machines.

Long version:

Twice in Dowen, made it to the end in more or less great shape, start the fight with the Skeleton in perfect health...skeleton hits me, spider hits in the same spot.

Nah you want your shield to actually have skewed stats. It's what you use to skew damage towards whatever your highest armor stat is.

The only good part about soletto looks like it's immutability. I can use it to make composite long bows that can raise my skill (which is currently maxed out at 74/74 wood/woodworking). But it does produce a terrible bow. A soletto/gurdismo bow with a wingu string would be equivalent to an azulio/gurdismo bow with a wingu string (though might also be equal to an exanese/gurdismo bow with a wingu string depending on rounding).

edit:

I started moving the high furnace today. The first two legs will be done by the time I get home, leaving only the 15 hour final leg to the Giant Plains location. I'll likely burn another horn and finish that overnight (reduces it to ~5 hours I believe).

Also, once that factory is up I propose the following trade: Someone make me a kryandel compasses (engineering) and kryamane hunting knife from our krya clusters and I'll provide the remaining 11 azulio planks for our super forge.

I just noticed they mention harnois boots in game guide... Are they not good? Because I think most people seem to use plated leather boots. (Also I am considering picking chimera first and artocrat later).

Jhalias as said in chat I am investing in odi/domane armor soon; I will start with gloves and arms so I understand these two pieces of armor will demand 27 domane ingots :o. I will gather odi plates, but I am interested if you can gather domane reinforcements.

(I thought most of the cost was the ingots for plates, didn't expect reinforcements to be that costly as well).

Having gotten the chim first I'll say that I wish I had just gotten 2 boars, more useful in my opinion. And besides the boar and chim and maybe hipporiel I don't know that the others are all that great.

I've finished the eliandel wing, what is my next step for getting a boar? I'm at 889 pearls, so I know I'll need to spend some time in library, but what else?

111 additional Foggy Pearls (assuming your first tier four companion), 30 Hills, and (probably) 30 Exploration.

Chance: Unfortunately, reinforcements are exactly as costly as plates, making harnois stupidly expensive. I've got some domane, we can figure something out.

SWEET. Though I still don't have kryamane unlocked. Hopefully making the kryandel ingot will.

I was going to ask everyone who contributed to mining clusters to give an estimate for how many attempts they contributed. Just to get an idea of how much we can generate how fast.

about an hour of grinding then take the boat from the abandoned village where you do some of the cerry quests to the crystal island and search in that area till you find the village, its pretty low req to find.

So the high furnace is at the giant plains domain and I have the foundry oven being made (I went with cheapish materials that will end up with 46 foundry which should be MORE than enough to crack the kryanite). I will assemble the factory when I get home this evening. Using just vendor rails and forge since this is a pure kryanite opening place.

Next good news and bad news. Good news is Lyncea's guild will sell us the recipe for the mansion. Bad news is that although she's willing to sell the castle recipe as well it's pointless because I just checked and the castle also needs the imperial agreement that only comes from finishing the banquet. So we need to finish those 30 of each agreement anyways, in addition to the extra 10 agreement sets for the stone delegation, before we can build the castle. Now that the giant plains factory is done Im going to set my metal/fashion alt on cutting more spying gems so we can get the favors and push out more of those agreements. Guess there's no free lunch in avoiding the imperial banquet unfortunately. Once I get the mansion plans, there's no real rush to finish either the delegation or the banquet first (since we need both) so its probably better to get the stone delegation done so we can at least have the megalithic building site to use (it's a combination stonecutting/masonry factory with a bonus).

Nevertheless we're still making good progress. For those who want to contribute who cannot cut spying gems or spy themselves, we're going to need a total of 100 giant oak trunks (for 20 Norstrian Frames) and 40 limestone boulders (for 20 megalithic foundations) for the castle. We also need 15000 space at the HQ which anyone can expand. This is in addition to all the other materials we need for various buildings (mansion, megalithic build site, remaining castle bits etc). I will try and update the spreadsheet tonight with things we need to get done since there's lots of little things we can get started on so they're ready when we need them, even if we're going to get bottlenecked by the Imperial banquet and Stone delegation agreements.

Oh final point is a question: Another guild wants me to make them a sandstone high furnace. What do you guys think a reasonable charge for that would be? Takes 66 engineering (at a 48 factory), 7 hours work and of course I'd have to go into their guild for that time (not a huge deal).

For harnois, which is in the 60-70 range, I've been charging 10g/hr for the work. I think that's a bit low.

Can guild leadership be swapped around?

Yeah I've done it before when I made one of my alts leader so that they could place a domain while I was doing something else. 10g/hour for harnois seems reasonable I think. I charge a bit more for top end composite bows, but they're the max difficulty for woodworking (well they used to be, soletto ones are higher now lol). I guess I'll see what I can finagle them about. You know add a premium for expensive potion, for hassel of transferring guild leadership etc etc.

Yeah, 70g for that service seems awfully low. Maybe double that?

I'm at 12 transport with the gem. Any chance we could get a cart made? Or is it too much of a hassle with the guild action? I think to get up to the 15... I guess I could pick up two commercial agreements from bogotar fort and get an auroch...

Im pretty sure the animals are Guild agreements and not just regular commerce agreements to get (same as the cart recipe). Like I said the cart is annoying because it also has 1 encumberance though. That means you need to transport it to the location AND back, doubling your transport time (unless you make a bunch of them and then just transport all of them back at once, but that's still annoying not to mention expensive in terms of carts).

You need a total of 55 between searching and transport to hit 15 if you use a 4.0 gem (53.5 if you use an ice tear bracelet which is 4.3 transport). It'd be easier to probably just train up transport more at the HQ or go explore in Norstria a bit. Even just exploring everything in the Den (and all the 50 concealment places in Lanfar/Hawkoria) should be able to get you pretty high. I believe hitting 50 explore was possible pre-Norstria.

Oh, crap, that sucks about the animals.

Getting xport up to 15ish isn't too bad, it's just a lot of long trains. My explo is at 39; modified about the same, so, I guess I need to get my ass to norstia and explore a bit.
