They apparently also just did a modification of some of the loot drops (severely nerfing the depths though apparently they say it should still be better than before, despite screenshots on the forums showing otherwise). They did say there were changes in the new dungeon too though it was unspecified as to what.

Poked around. Nerfed Wingu Cable's drop rate. Dismantled twenty-two Chaotic Golems (isolated or with friends). Zero cables. Did not record loot officially. Remembers two Lumps of Diorite, one Lump of Lanferite, two Domane Ingots, and approximately 35 gold (~1.6 per kill). Understands the nerf. Might profit more from Elisime, though.

Detected no gathering or monster stat changes. Died before finding a Spirit of the Deeps, though. (Smacked boots three consecutive times. Hates you too, scorpions.)

Confirms Kryanbor Nuggets still on Beetles, also.

Edit: Learned Flora and Hunting poison recipes. Will post Minor Poison information shortly. Please wait for more potent poisons. Requires one 82.7 effort Hunting component each.
Edit2: Sighs. Hoped for a simple herbalism formula. Looked like [20% of (Highest of Toxicity/Accelerating) + 10% of (Lowest of Toxicity/Accelerating)] / 10, plus rounding individual contributions for Blunt Offense. Defies that with Alsafa Leaves.
Tested Minor Poisons manually and quickly instead. Did not grab all substances.

(Removed. See below.)

Ought to be better with major poisons. Next up: Jewelry, Forging, and Stonecutting recipes. (Already heard one, of course.) Learns them soon.

Edit3: Updated the game guide. Hates the energy costs. 148 for Mirror Targe? 476 for Astrishield? Is that correct?

Mirror Targe
Short version: Probably recommends Catoblar/Domane at 26/34/59. Boasts the most lopsided defense. Always leans towards high Slashing Defense. Might be better with Blueroc or Kryanroc, though. Never bothered to craft those reinforcements.
Spoiler:
Assumes Exceptional unless denoted otherwise.

Diodur/Domane: 38/32/48
Clearmoon/Domane: 26/31/49. (82 skill. Not possible at Exceptional.)
Rustic Volriziar/Domane: 39/41/55 (79 skill. 85 skill for Regular.)

Catoblar/Kryamane: 31/37/61

Minor Membrane
No Slate, Palpable, Simblior, White Catoblepas, or Volcanite Sand on hand.
No Tickpick Sting on hand. Ignored lesser materials.

Blunt Defense: Lithoglacier Heart + Lanferite Sand (2.0)
Piercing Defense: Fourmilian Queen Sting + any sand (2.4)
Slashing Defense: Scorpidus Sting + any sand (2.0)

Sceptorunic Mace
Short version: 50 Blunt Offense from Palpable + Psy Watchful OR Borm + Lith Watchful. 49 Blunt Offense for Borm + any Latent Rune except Psy.
Spoiler:
Assume Exceptional unless told otherwise.

Watchful/Intense Runes on hand: Psy, Eli, Lith, Lect, Pyr, Mag Intense, and Pho.

Astrishield
Frowns. One day, nine hours, twenty minutes crafting time. 476.2 effort. Who decided this? Nearly guarantees a skill-up, on the plus side. Adjusted to ten hours, eleven minutes (145.5 effort).

Short version:
82 Forging for Nocturial Leather, Kryandel, or Kryamane. 80 for Kryanroc and 79 for Kryanod. Note: At the Metallurgical Factory.

No Kryanroc or Blueroc Armor Reinforments. Stuck solely with Chimeric Leather due to few options.

Votes for Blueroc/Eliandel/Chimeric (30/51/38). Features a wide margin between Piercing and Blunt/Slashing. Only recommends it for armor sets with low piercing defense.

Did not look at Nocturial options. Will upon request, though. Adds approximately five to all defenses from Chimeric.
Spoiler:
- Favored Chimeric Leather for tests. Only had some leather on hand. Beat Fortified.
- Names Plate first, then Reinforcement.

Domane/Iron/Chimeric: 39/49/44
Domane/Domane/Chimeric: 33/50/49.
May double up on metal, then. Lacks Kryanroc or Blueroc Armor Reinforcements. Owns plates for both, however. Rectified.

Domane/Eliandel/Chimeric: 32/52/46.
Eliandel/Domane/Chimeric: 32/52/46.
Works both ways. Now for actual tests.

Thought so. Mirrors wooden shields. Improves shield quality. Largely retains defense imbalances. (Blames Piercing's base 30 versus others' base 15 for slight growth differences.)

Poisons

Minor Poisons
Grabbed more substances.

Blunt Offense: 3.1 (Glacin + Red Wolf Claws)
Piercing Offense: 1.4 (Slork/Star of Jotun/Maestram + Blood of Silent/Draconic Heart)
Slashing Offense: 3.1 (Redauroch + Scorpidus Sting)

Beat/Piercing/Scratching Poisons
Seems to follow the above, except with an extra material. Made them with Vargard Bone. (Assigned the Flora character. Wanted a uniform product. Seemed okay.)

Beat: 4.6 Blunt/0.8 Piercing/1.7 Slashing (Antracian Truffle + Red Wolf Claws + Vargard Bone Poison Slugger). (Disqualified Glacin at 83 skill.)
Piercing: 2.7 Blunt/3.4 Piercing/2.0 Slashing (Slork + Draconic Heart + Vargard Bone Poison Dart). (Works with the other materials too. Produced the best overall.)
Scratching: 2.4 Blunt/0.8 Piercing/4.6 Slashing (Redauroch + Scorpidus Sting + Vargard Bone Poison Flayer).

Iceslicer
Added it for permanency. Advises Domane/Psy Watchful for 37 Piercing/49 Slashing or Domane/Psy Latent for 37 Piercing/48 Slashing.

Note: Exceptional Kryamane Saber: 45 Slashing.
Spoiler:
Affects Piercing with Mag and Lith.
Influences Slashing with Lith and Psy.

Will not bother maximizing Piercing.

Raising Soriason for the porch recipe is going to be a slog :shock: . 16 more points, four days cooldown per point if get five old currency from runic fragment digging (plus the daily lupuntar rune action) in that time.

If anyone wants me, I'll be digging in Starfield. Think I'm going to start an archeology alt on the same account and use the shared home key.

Send me a message in game so I don't forget but I'll check to see if I have any spare currency lying around. I think I might have some.

Also note there's no real reason to have more than one character who can identify runes. Especially since I think there's only one set of recipes left for a bunch of them anyways in the guild bank. Plus a lot of the other rune recipes are a result of quests/actions in Norstria which can be tough to get without leveling the alt significantly.

I was more thinking about an alt for gathering as passive gathering doesn't get the extra loot for the reputation handins (old currency, ancestral dice) as far as I can see. Don't really want to repeat all the family quests and raising reputation for an alt. I enjoyed them the first time through, but happy to skip repeating raising terrain skills a second time.

Will mail you in game about the old currency, probably after the weekend as I have guests staying until then, and when I've reached 40 Soriason and am ready to build a porch I'll ask about taking the set of the rune tracings from the festival (I already have those obtained from the family quests) and a yggdracin recipe.

Harvested Bemekintos and Bemecalmos. One day, ten hour, forty-three minute cooldown. Glares. Replaced Redauroch and Toenimus with Bemekintos and Bemecalmos, respectively.

Short version: Boosts Sewing by 0.2 (still non-runic). Enables 83 Sewing tasks with Exceptional Kryamane Runic Scissors (see: Irandgard Root). Increases others too. Requires too much skill for most runic potions, however. Sees no reason to continue gathering.

Long version:
Spoiler:
Ignored Irandgard Root and non-trade skills. Compared normal versus normal and Latent versus Latent. Denoted equal or lesser values as "no change".

Normal potions
Taming: 6 -> 6.8 (Both)

Sewing: 6.6 -> 6.8 (Bemekintos)
Woodworking: 6.3 -> 6.9 (Bemecalmos)
Herbalism: 6.5 -> 6.8 (Bemecalmos)
Jewelry: 6.4 -> 6.8 (Bemecalmos)
Tanning: 6.4 -> 6.6 (Bemekintos)

Exploration: 6.1 -> 6.9 (Both)

Horticulture: 6.1 -> 6.8 (Bemecalmos)
Carpentry: 6.6 -> 6.9 (Bemekintos)
Woodcutting: 6.4 -> 6.6 (Bemekintos)
Extraction: 6.5 -> 6.9 (Bemecalmos)
Foundrywork: 6.5 -> 6.8 (Bemecalmos)

Engineering: 6.3 -> 6.7 (Bemekintos)
Leadership: 6.4 -> 6.9 (Both)
Commerce: 6.5 -> 6.8 (Bemekintos)
Alchemy: 6.1 -> 6.8 (Bemecalmos)

Latent Runic potions
Taming: 6.5 -> 6.8

Sewing: 6.2. No change
Woodworking: 7.2. No change.
Herbalism: 7.2 -> 7.3.
Jewelry: 7.1. No change.
Tanning: 6.5. No change.

Exploration: 6.6. No change.

Horticulture: 6.8 -> 6.9.
Carpentry: 6.4 -> 6.7.
Woodcutting: 6.2. No change.
Extraction: 6.9. No change.
Foundrywork: 6.2. No change.

Engineering: 6.1 -> 6.8.
Leadership: 6.5 -> 6.8.
Commerce: 6.6 -> 6.8.
Alchemy: 7. No change.

Note for later: Upgrade Commerce’s Lamden to Lamden Mariglacius.

Planned to check Watchful Runes. Sees little point. Demands 80 skill minimum for every runic potion except Endurance Bemekintos.

- Assume 79 effective skill.
- 56 Stone-sage
- 56 Runic Mortar and Pestle
- 52 Temple
- 4.8 Bracelet
- 7.2 runic potion
(84 * .4) + (56 * .3) + (56 * .2) + (52 * .1) + 4.8 + 7.2 = 78.8.

Probably comes close with a Greenhouse, Irandgard Root runic potion, and fancy Stardust Bracelet. Seems unlikely at a Temple.

Tested Piercing Poisons with Wyvern Bone Poison Dart, also. Raised all stats by 0.4 over Vargard Bone.

Looking at the forums it seems you can't make any decent runic bows due to the ridiculously high base difficulty of them. The shields seems pretty mediocre too. What was the highest poison you were able to make so far? Piercing notably since that's what is mainly needed to kill the Owl consistently.

Poison: Based on notes: 5 Blunt, 3.8 Piercing, and 5 Slashing (not together). Only tried two bone types, though. Will queue up others. Doubts anything substantially higher.

Shields: Shrugs. Seems okay. Is there better than 26/34/59 for Domane/Kryandel armor? Likes 30/51/38 for Kryanod/Kryandel too. (Presumes better exists. Looks passable, however.)

Edit: Crafted a Borm Sceptorunic Mace and Catoblar/Domane Mirror Targe. Justified it through cosmetic curiosity. (Upgraded from a vendor trash 30 Blunt Notable Chanderian Mallet too.)
Mirror Sceptorunic.png
Mirror Sceptorunic.png (95.6 KiB) Viewed 3622 times

Created a decent shield. Notes no trace of Domane. Must be all Catoblar, as expected. Wonders about Krystalid now.

Hoped for a more magical mace. Encroaches on the sidebar too. (Occurred with the shield on male characters.) Matches the shield's base. Seems unaffected by handle choice. Used Cedar.

Next up: Iceslicer and Astrishield.

Edit2: Tested Vargard, Wyvern, Ayrann, Chimeric, Walhein, Ancient, Forified, and Hyperborean Bone Poison Darts. Best: 4.0 Piercing with Slork, Draconic Heart, and Walhein Bone.

Observed Blunt and Slashing on Piercing Poison too. Increased with Walhein Bone by 0.1 (over Wyvern Bone). Implies 5.0 Blunt and Slashing maximum. (4.9 Blunt and Slashing with Wyvern Bone Slugger and Flayer.) Confirmed. 5.0 Blunt and 5.0 Slashing with Walhein Bone.

- 5.0 Blunt: Antracian Truffle/Red Wolf Claws/Walhein Bone Poison Slugger.
- 4.0 Piercing: Slork/Draconic Heart/Walhein Bone Poison Dart.
- 5.0 Slashing: Redauroch/Scorpidus Sting/Walhein Bone Poison Flayer.

(May use Star of Jotun for Piercing too. Advises against Maestram (79 skill).)

Edit3: Domane Iceslicer and Blueroc Plate Astrishield.
Astrishield Iceslicer.png

Placed blue trim on everything. Paves the way for similar armor.

Attached Krystalid Mirror Targe's icon also. Ought to resemble it closely.

Seems the Astrishield and Iceslicer recipes are gone from the Telluric sanctuary, which is a bit of a nuisance as I've finally got my effective forging into the 70s (80/82 which gives 78 effective using the best potion I can make at the metal guild factory). Boo!

Were you present during the migration away from Gameforge? Happened slightly under one year ago. Required consent to transfer back to Virtys. Try contacting support@virtys.zendesk.com. Handled this issue at the time. Probably manages general issues now too. Might be able to help.

The last patches added more content, but really the grind to get the new stuff made really turned me off from the game. Just grinding temples took a ridiculous amount of time and now you basically need temples to make a bunch of the new stuff too (like a woodworking temple for the runic bows, shields). Not to mention the ridiculous grind to get skills up. Really though I haven't had time in the mornings before work to re-queue things in a long while now, and that means I have to use some of my actual free time to do it. Which I don't really feel like doing.

Yeah, I would like it if it loaded faster when selecting what to do, so it didn't take as long to regrind all your characters.

But... with regen pots you can set your grind up for the whole week.

Not with recent materials (at the time). Demanded Endurance Vials for Salancedar. Attached cooldowns to new herbs in dungeons. Passed on grinding Swamp against Tarasquan monsters too.

So... is the guild still in existence even if no one is on? Can I be invited so I can level up again?

Exists. Shows Valerian as leader still.

Besides, I have a bunch of alts that can chop good crap for the guild.

Good news: Sees eighty clusters at Kryanite Mine and four at Plains Factory. Lists the last withdrawal as September 5.

I can log on either tonight or on the weekend and send back some guild invites, assuming I havent been voted out as guild leader for not being on in the last while. I think there are a number of krya clusters at the alt guild's mine as well.

There are seven unclaimed clusters in the mining guild. My alts have been the only ones mining there in a long time, so I see each time I take mine out to smelt there are always seven left (I am stlll using the spreadsheet).

I don't know if anyone other than me logs in to the main guild; am currently trying to figure out if I want to build a marapis quarry and megalthic building site in shortbaldes to enable me to make the parts for a Den lithostadium to get access to the astrishield recipie, or just try to find someone that can forge one for me to complement the knod/kdel armour I'm slowly making. And get stonecutting up some more to make a runic mortar and pestle for my potions alt. And tanning to make some noct boots (etc etc)

Offers to craft those. Kept the relevant crafter in the guild. Assumes no major changes since. Requests materials, of course.

Edit: Wow. 86-100 gold per Blue Crown. Inflated massively.

Thank you, have sent materials for a set of boots (kdel/noct) and a mortar and pestle (oceanite + pho watchful, appears best combination as I cannot activate intense runes yet).

Can you advise what materials are required for the shield please, as I don't have the recipie to try different combinations. Since knod/kdel harnois is weakest to pierce, a shield with optimal piercing defense. Will take me considerable time to mine and smelt enough krya, anyway.

edit - BC price was higher than 100g for some time as a few people were buying any under 100 and relisting higher. Hunter then flooded the market with thousands of BC at 100 unit cost and drove the price down.

Three options:
1. Exceptional Eliandel/Eliandel/Chimeric: 31/53/42.
2. Notable Eliandel/Eliandel/Nocturial: 34/55/45. Note: Requires a runic potion. Still has one in reserve, though.
3. Notable Blueroc/Eliandel/Chimeric: 28/50/36. (30/51/38 with Exceptional.)

Preferred Exceptional Blueroc/Eliandel/Chimeric. Targets Slashing easier than Eliandel/Eliandel. Sounded nicer as "Exceptional" than "Notable". Sacrificed a small difference.
________

Noticed a new guild project: glass recipes. Looked easy, initially. Might as well, despite no intentions of playing beyond this. Involves Xuran Sand. Must have some, right? No. From cutting lumps, then? No. Comes from a Cape End-of-the-World or Dragons' Jaw extraction task. Never mind.

I understand your reasoning and will gather the materials. The game guide suggests 15 plates, 15 reinforcements and 1 leather.

I looked at that very briefly and couldn't work out how to build a personal quarry to beat the land resistance in either area, even with a protosensor, volca or azulio not being realistic options. I think some guilds have built guild quarries, though don't know with what combination of materials.

Thank you for the boots and mortar&pestle.

Yeah I think it's one of those ridiculous guild quarries with megalithic structures to get that new sand. That was one of those things that just seemed like an enormous time-sink to try and get a tiny tiny upgrade/sidegrade for things.

Chen, think you could log on and invite me to guild? Or make Deva leader?

For anyone still active, or that just wants to log in and grab the quest while it's there, "Birthday of a lord" is back for a few days. Rewards volc / volz / gala / noct / wingu and combat potions, depending on how many of the testimonies you collect.
