Local multiplayer X360 games

Postby Zohar » Fri Apr 11, 2008 12:26 pm UTC

I have a friend who lives really close to me (5 minutes' walk from my house). A few months ago we borrowed another friend's Wii and played Super Mario Galaxy on it, me playing shotgun. We had a lot of fun and want to have a similar experience. That friend (the one I played with) has an X360 we can play on. So what we're looking for is:

1. An XBOX 360 game
2. With good local multiplayer.
3. Co-op is much better than competitive.
4. Preferably no FPSs (so no Halo for example) and no rhythm games (no Guitar Hero) since I suck at both.

I'm counting on you, fora-members!

Edit: I meant local multiplayer, not hot seat. We want to play at the same time, not pass the controller around (although that can be an options if there's a cool turn based game we can play)

Most 360 multiplayer games seem to be over Live, which kinda sucks cause.. well.. its just not as fun as playing in the same room as someone else. Gears of War is the obvious co-op choice... does that count as not being an FPS?

2nd person? You view the game through the eyes of the people you shoot?

Im going off of wikipedias 3rd person article, they correct the mislabeling, just read the 3rd person shooter article.

I only gamefly'd it for single player, but Ace Combat 6 would be immensely fun I think. I'm just not sure if there even is multiplayer.

Splinter Cell co-op is also pretty fun.

I'm always a fan of sports games too... Madden especially.

Not Army of Two. For some reason they took out everything that made the demo look cool and filled it with suckitude.

Virtua Fighter 5!

Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo is on the Arcade.

As is Bomberman Live.

And Worms.
