Anyone else like to pass the time in the Barrens talking about chick norris?
Just about all of my friends on my server (azgalor) have stopped playing. Who else plays? What server?
xkcd guild?

I've played since day one, mostly horde on Kel'Thuzhad. I now have a 70 hunter and a 60 mage, and I have a few 40s floating around, some on other servers.
I canceled my account today, as I just don't have the time to play any more. Of course, it doesn't actually expire for a few more weeks, so maybe I'll get sucked back in.

I played a different MMO for a while (3 years, I'm quitting this weekend finally). FFXI, if you've ever heard of it.
After this, I'm so done with MMORPGs. Money and a semi-social life please. It was a ton of fun for the first two years, everything was new. Once you start repeating things and the community starts to become less and less experienced, it gets old.
But really. It was great fun for the longest time. I'm definitely going to try and keep in touch with some of the "cool" people I've met.
Edit: On topic, I considered moving to WoW when a few friends from school started playing. I never did, and now that they've left WoW, I probably never will.

Our guild is fun, but we are not hardcore players, so you are unlikely to see any of the true endgame without joining or establishing close ties with a hardcore guild.
Jealousy is a disease, love is a healthy condition. The immature mind often mistakes one for the other, or assumes that the greater the love, the greater the jealousy.

Again? What was the first, if I may ask? I'm curious.
I spent a year or so of my life firmly in the clutches of a Neverwinter Nights Persistent World (PW) server.
It was fun, I got a lot of badass roleplaying done, but it kindof distracted me from getting a job and having a social life. I was pretty fucking useless.
And to top it off, round about the time I was in three guilds and took over as the Archdruid of the server, it got to feeling like I wasn't playing it for fun anymore. It was more like a *job* that I had to show up to to keep my positions. So finally I just dropped it like a bad habit. Which, in retrospect, it was.
Several of the DMs and Devs from that PW are threatening to start a PW for NWN2. I fear I may be drawn back in.

Well, in NWN you can create your own maps and essentially your own worlds. It was just a world that persisted from reset to reset, and where you were required to be In Character at all times.
It essentially came off as a *giant* tabletop D&D game that you could log into at anytime.
In other words, the worst kind of addiction for me, ever.

my "main" who happens to be lvl 60 STILL, is on staghlem, UD lock, Zappow.
alts on that server include Shardeth (troll war), Piggeh (bank - troll hunter) and Rhah (troll priest)
sometimes server w/ real life friends Gul'dan (pvp) only active toons are Salla (BE mage) and Potholder - a bank.
currently spending most of my time on: Trollbane - BE priest, Keinegott (yes, i forgot to take out the e, and i dint want to reroll after i realised it) and my soon-to-be-birthed toon Keinherz - BE lock.
so, as you can see, strictly horde.

Used to play up until a few days back, now I'm gonna be sick of WoW for another month. Level 43 human mage however, and no-one of my friends want to play on an RP server

MY ADVICE:
Quit while you still can.
Or at the very least, quit once you stop enjoying it.

I play Horde on Kul Tiras server. I used to play EVE Online before WoW but even tho it's an awesome game, it gets really boring if you're not in an alliance or a pirate. And spending several hundred million credits on a abttleship you'll never use cause you're scared of it getting blown up and all you'r money being wasted sucks.

Horde is cool, I want a UD war and UD rogue (I love rogues).
But, every time I go to play one I realize this one lame fact.
Horde leveling quests, grinds, areas, etc. SUCK BALLS. I hate it so much, they're just so slow and inefficient. With Alliance you just goto Westfall and keep goin'.
With horde you have to suffer through barrens and EVERY horde town sucks
.
I'd level a horde if I had a friend to play with though.
