people at large already (falsely) believe that folks with mental illnesses (and especially the ~super crazy~ ones like did, schizophrenia, bpd) are more likely to commit violence when the opposite is actually true, we're more likely to BE the targets of violent crimes. hateful films like this just contribute to that persistent stigmatization.
