Don't they do that, like, every episode?

They do, but admittedly it's more annoying when the primary evidence they have is "wearing the costume!". Every time.

I guess they do, but this time it felt different to me because the evidence was overwhelming and the events seemed way more contrived than usual.

Spoiler:
I thought it was interesting that they decided to have Alexis rejected from Stanford. I'm guessing she'll probably reapply and get in after she finishes high school. However, they could make it interesting and have her go off the rails (I'm thinking more crazy partying rather than depression here) for a bit which would be fun.

A)
Spoiler:
Aye, I really liked that! It stopped her from 'coasting' through her life quite so easily and has given her something to work for, and really think about what she wants.

B)
Spoiler:
Oh ugh, please no. They did *exactly that* in the second season of "Shark" and it was 'orrible. They had his (reasonably) good/pleasant daughter get a drug addict boyfriend (who appeared from nowhere, it was pretty weird) and generally go off the rails as a result of it. It was boring and predictable and bugged me silly.

Spoiler:
Good episode, the intro scene with the view of Earth and the end with the eye twinkle was a bit weird and I really don't get why they did that, made me think of magic...

The end scene when the chased the Prof down the fire escape gave me a laugh.

The Earth from space and weird eyes are sciency and scifi-y, which cryogenics and life extending implants are, so that's the link.

Yea her face there made me crack up. Has anyone else found themselves just spoiling anything they post in this thread even if it doesn't need it? like this post I'm writing right now probably. I just find it odd responding to someone's spoilered post if my own post isn't in spoiler tags

Spoiler:
I feel like I love the show a whole lot more since they managed to find a plausible way to make it clear that both of them are aware of each other's feelings, while still keeping them from actually dating. A LOT of shows try to do that and don't quite pull it off. I never expected this one to turn into such a beautiful little love story.

Quick question for castle fans: I'm roughly 8 or 9 episodes into season 1, and I'm not really feeling it. I enjoyed quite a few of them, but... not really enough to actively want to keep watching. Is it worth sticking with, or if I'm this far in to the series without loving it, should I try something else instead?

In seriousness, the man in the hat is right. If the occasional Firefly reference isn't enough to keep you interested, there's no hope :(

I think it has gotten much better since season 1, but yes, it is still formulaic and if you don't like the structure then you should maybe give it up.

I enjoyed it from the beginning, 'cause I'm a general fan of crime drama stuff, but I definitely think that season 2 is stronger than the first.

WINDOWS LOGO OUT OF NOWHERE

...but seriously, Microsoft, enough with your fucking product placement. It was fine when it was nicely integrated, but blahhhh. Enough. I hope ABC's getting paid a lot for that shit.

Vaguely amusingly the iPhone featured moments later was also locked...

I realize I'm just whining, but the immersion is fucking ruined when they show bright zoomed-in Windows start buttons :(

So the latest episode was one of the best of the series I think, it was completely different than anything else.

Spoiler:
That episode hinted at Castle and Becket's relationship more so than in any other previous episode, and then there are all the sexual innuendos with the handcuffs and sex positions. I loved it. And the tiger actually seemed like it fit in nicely with the plot, it didn't feel contrived. Well done.

Edit: Becket is sexy.

Spoiler:
What would have happened if they just kicked the tiger in the nose when they were still on top of the box? Also, I distinctly remember them having access to a lot of very scary looking knives. If it came to it, I reckon they could have taken it, with just one or maybe two limbs being lost in the process.

Oh, the box was too heavy to push towards the hole the tiger was coming out of, but it was light enough that they could tip it on its end? Wut?

Still, awesome episode.

They couldn't move the box before because it was full of hundreds of pounds of manacles and chains. They emptied it out part-way through the episode, leaving it light enough to move.

That doesn't make sense because they emptied it first, and what we are saying they should have done would have happened after the manacles.

What annoyed me a wee bit about that part was that
Spoiler:
I'd thought that they were going to turn the freezer on end when they emptied it in the first place, and when they didn't I assumed it was too heavy to do that with. When Castle said he had a plan I was waiting for something crazy that I'd missed...

If a couple of people can flip it, a tiger can flip it. And if my domesticated house cat can flip off the trash can lid to get at chicken scraps, a tiger can certainly figure out how to get at the chewy, screaming prize under the box.
