"I think" being the operative phrase. I happen to think not. My correcting that error doesn't cause 40 posts of people offering their time and energy to answer a question with no response or thanks. It does however clear up a post I had trouble parsing initially, thus improving communication in that others will know what he means after reading my fix, and that his attention has been drawn to the commonly made error and maybe it won't hinder communication in further posts of his if he avoids making the mistake again. You don't get to assume I did it to be a bitch, has it occurred to you it is an effort to help?

... funny how it takes the wind out of my sails when I get riled up and confrontational only to be responded to in a measured, reasoned and peaceable manner. Then I feel like a dick. Which is an ironic thing to apologise to ST for, but there you go.

As the person who was corrected, I must say that I prefer to be corrected as opposed to staying wrong, even if I did feel like an idiot momentarily for making such a stupid typo.

Think of Blade Runner as a cross between Star Wars and Soylent Green. That's how it comes to mind anyway. Now if one hasn't seen these two classics either...

(P.S Yes I'm aware that this was completely out of context concerning where the subject had wandered, but I still wanted to reply to the first few posts.)

So I'm reading Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? now.

I feel like watching one of the BR versions. I've still not decided which one is best. Maybe I should get that boxset.
You go your way.
I'll go your way too.

"No, Luke... I IS PEOPLE!!!"

Kinda off-topic (not that I can't think of things to say about Blade Runner), but is Soylent Green actually any good?

Not a masterpiece, but I thought it was worth watching.

It doesn't help that the big twist ending is now a punchline that every nerd is a aware of. I still would recommend watching it as the scoops alone make it pretty darn awesome.

Erm .... are you being serious? That book is '74, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep is '68.

Also, watch the Final Cut (saw it on TV ... so good, have to get the box set now), and if you like it, watch the others if you're curious. But the Final Cut is what Ridley Scott wanted, so I guess it's the most 'Blade Runner' version :P

Jorpho was referring to the original source of the title, not the source of the story.

Spoiler:
Think about Deckard's dream. Now think about why Adama Gaff is leaving origami unicorns everywhere. Do you see it?

No?
Spoiler:
Does Deckard seem like the kind of guy who'd tell his coworkers what he's been dreaming about? How would Gaff know about the unicorn?

Spoiler:
While he does leave tiny origami animals everywhere, only the last one was a unicorn.
