In the US, it came out this past Tuesday. The Blu Ray is region-free, as well.

I watched the DVD with the Director + Bryan Lee O'Malley commentary. Apparently most of the differences between comic and movie were actually pulled from first drafts of the comics in 2006 and simply not used in the final version!

I found that somewhat awesome. :o

Edit: Their discussion of the selection process between the 3 original endings was also interesting. I think I like the theatrical version best.

I watched the movie last night.

It was not great. I get that it's based on a comic and draws from gaming as a main theme, but it wasn't very funny, Cera's acting is poor and it was all just a bit weird and strained.

Did Brie Larson watch some Metric concerts? She seemed to be channeling Emily Haines pretty well

I'd be surprised if she hadn't.

Her song "Black Sheep" was actually written by Metric for the movie.

I know it's a Metric song, that's why I was asking if she watched Emily Haines performing

Saw this movie for the third time today; still awesome!

Actually it's a song they never actually released. There's live video's dating back quite a while though. :)
