Overpowered compared to what? Power is relative, if everyone is overpowered then no one is.

Well I mean compared to a lot of shows with powers. It seems they can freely bend at will with no daily restrictions other than their own physical being. And that when Toph bends, she can do some crazy shit.

Seriously, this fell to the second page? What's going on, Canada et. al.? The writer's strike is over, where are the new episodes? The Boiling Rock isn't even out on torrent yet, which is disgusting...

Anyone have any clue? At all?

I went to the site I stream Avatar from a few days ago. I got so excited when I saw the headings for two more episodes, then to discover that there were zero links under them.

Waiting for awesome things makes me sad =(

But the writers strike is over for at least 2 weeks right? So there should be some episodes soon? Right? right...

Yes. Writers and their striking sucks.

THis show is so awsome. The martial arts is one of the numerous gorgeous things in this show. Not to mention character deleopment, backround, comedy, romance, mystery. Hell, If it didn't have the nickelodeon sign on it and the animation wasn't a give away, I would swear that this was a really well made anime. Its not a bad thing, Its just there is a lot of crappy mc' crap crap on the telecrap these days.

I've been trying to get the Season 1 and 2 dvds, but the only place that has them is the single comic shop in town, and it's selling them at the hugely unreasonable price of $125. I hate where I live :'(

Obviously we do, but I've never gotten around to setting up a paypal, or any type of internet based payment type thingy. That would require going to banks and talking to people. I'll do it eventually, but put it off as long as it's not necessary.

I am actually thinking of getting the DVDs to

1. Have every single episode on DVD
2. Get all those shiny extras. (And you bet your bottom dollar that tommorow that they will be shiny)

Have any post-"Day of Black Sun" episodes aired in the US yet? And is there a set airdate for new episodes?

Based on the On-Demand schedule, I'm guessing the end of May. While the first half of Book 3 was being aired, O-D was progressing at one episode every month or so. They made it to 3.4, DoBS aired on Nickelodeon, then DoBS was available O-D as a single 45 minute episode.

There was no Avatar O-D for a while, but now they've been adding a new episode every couple weeks. 3.6 is available until 4/6/2008, and 3.7 until 4/20. At this rate, DoBS should be available from around mid-May until 6/1. I'm hoping the reason they put Avatar back on O-D is to promote new episodes, thus the end of May guess.

Somewhat flexible, reshapeable, protective, prevents her from being frozen as she can just shatter and reform the armor. And hard clay is waterproof. It might take some concentration for Toph to keep it hard (...shut up) but still I think it takes away a lot of her weaknesses vs. water benders.

There is an episode where we see Toph put on a suit of earth armor. I believe it's the one where she's training Aang in earthbending. It doesn't last very long, but she does walk around in it for a little bit.

I have a theory that Nickelodeon Australia left off showing the first half of the season so late so that they wouldn't have this mid season break. The are up to The Puppetmaster (shown yesterday) which means that 3.14 should be shown...May 7th.

Ofcourse, Nick has betrayed it's viewers before

Oh my freaking god... puppetmaster was a great episode
Spoiler:
AND WTF BLOODBENDING GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FRIGGIN SWEET FRIGGIN SWEET KATARA KICKS EFFING ASS
.

And if any of you are looking for a fix...http://www.watch-avatar.com/book-1.html

don't download the program it wants you to... you don't need it.

Just started watching the show 5 days ago... finished it about 10 minutes ago (well, up to Firebending Masters)

Spoiler:
Katar is totally gonna end up bloodbending Azula or someone to prevent her from killing Zuko/Iroh/Aang, I just know it. There will be an episode where she just gets down on herself for doing whats necessary. It's coming, I know it.

PS is there actually gonna be a last episode, or is this gonna go by way of like DBZ and never, ever end? I mean, they SHOULD finish it before people lose interest (which simply won't happen) or get accused of drawing it out.

However, they are nowhere near having drawn out this show... so... yeah

This is the final series, and it'll end fairly soon, I can't remember the exact amount of episodes. So it certainly won't be drawn out a la DBZ.

No they don't. Each book focuses on aang mastering a particular element. If there were going to be an "Air" book, it would have been before he got frozen, and it would have been boring as ass.

Yeah, we got bits and pieces of his life at the Air Temple in the form of flashbacks. That were all very heart warming I might add.

It seemed like Aang was always good at Air bending.
